Glad to see this problem resolved.  It took a bit (ok a TON) of patience from a bunch of people to get this solved.
GJ

Totally worth it though. Plus sunday was filled with mischeif and fun. haha thanks GJ for the entertainment

With the increased post CAT temps, I am sure that is why I melted mine...

A turbo doesn't increase exhaust gas temps, it may actually decrease them due to higher flowing turbine wheel which you have.

I was saying the increase in flow may have transmitted the heat farther. (toward the secondary O2)

Perhaps im incorrect, but my cat was over 1300 deg F at idle. What does a stock cat run at during idle?

A cat makes no difference since there's no actual temp sensor in the exhaust, its just a formula. Everyone is going to have similar temps, you'll only see them changing at wot based on what afr you run, run rich and they'll be lower, run lean and they'll go higher.

iHawk, you are too funny....

Ivy- you get your own thread... :)

GJ

Patience wore real thin...let me tell ya!

Glad my entertainment value was high as usual! I can't let you boys stand me up! ;)

Anyway, once again there is video of me out on the Internet and I see I've fallen victim to a new profile pic.  Btw GJ...if you google one of my nicknames and click on images, one of them might look familiar!

Oh and I'm paying a high price today...totally sick. Had to call off work. I'm back in bed. :(

Oh one more thing!  Thanks to everyone who helped fix Chris's car!  The permagrin on the way home was so much nicer than the ride back from DC! I stayed calm because I figured I should and in the meantime, I could think up ways to get us back to Ohio! But it was kinda fun hearing him come up with how many different ways he could sell the car! So I still enjoyed the road trips before the car was fixed!

Finally!!!  :yay:

I kinda want to trade my N/A now!

so this DDM 2871 needs a custom tune done on the dyno or the road?

Arabas
Our cars are so different that it really needs to be one or the other to optimize the results.

I have to say.  there is nothing quite like holding onto a laptop for dear life while Dave pushes your car to a point you didn't think it could go.
That alone is worth every penny of the tune.

Oh I'm definitely talking to Dave! I talked to he and Randy about it a few years ago. One of these days. I have a personal situation to take care of first, so I can't afford it yet. But once that is all squared away, I should be able to do something!

I drove Critters car this weekend.
It was awesome.

It cost me a clutch.  I don't need a clutch yet, but after driving Critters I need a clutch, if you know what I mean.

  Now that's funny!

I have an early 06' and I remember Dave recommending I don't go above a stage 2. But I think Critter has an 06. Hmmm...

I knew there was something funky about going beyond a Stage 2 with an 06. And how is it without the traction and stability control? Cause I sure don't have any of that! Slipin' and a Slidin' away for me!

The nipple on the pipe that connects the turbo and airbox broke off today on my car...I ordered the steel replacement one from Dejon, considering the stock one is plastic.  I will only be driving to and from work...and slowly.  What a bummer.

Miller i hope you learned basic things:
1) Stick with wizard Dave
2) Keep ihawk around you
3) Stick with KP folks
4) Never leave earlier from SMMM cause the car will not like that
5) PATIENCE

Is that simple ;)

elff: thanks for the ride in Critter's screamer, Critter got me another one next day, he scared the shit out of me when he started to push it all the sudden on those very curvy roads.
