JPM Kappa Mod Meet 8 Schedule and Prices
« on: May 09, 2011, 11:58:24 AM »
Ok, I apologize for putting this up here so late. I was waiting on last minute date conflict issues that have just been resolved so we're good to roll. I didn't want to announce this just yet but I'll give you all an outline since this may or may not be our last mod meet.

First, JPM is not going out of business or anything in case you were wondering.  We just launched our new website actually which you should check out (www.jpmcoachworks.com or www.jpmusa.com).

Second, I might be leaving JPM to pursue other ventures. This is what's been holding up this event schedule and I was waiting to hear start dates which keep being pushed back. This doesn't mean that I won't be making sol/sky parts in my spare time but it more than likely means that we won't be going to any events. Alex will be manning the ship if I leave and I'll have minimal involvement.

Third, prices are going up. Obviously materials have increased over the last year, but we're also finding we don't have enough time to do everything that gets ordered.  So, we're upping the quality and focusing on making fewer, higher end products instead of larger items that take up more time and end up getting discounted by the customer because of all the shortcuts they request to save costs.  So, your products cost more, but they have more attention paid to them and there is more detail in the work. Everything comes out perfect or it's done again.  You might have thought our products were already high end to begin with.  We just want to make a larger gap between our stuff and poor quality imitations that we've seen floating around here and there.  Make no mistake, there IS NOT a better product for the price and you will not receive anything equal to or remotely close to the quality of our stuff through any other vendor, shop, or weekend hobbyist.

Without further ado, here are our prices for the event.  If you plan on purchasing a shifter and having it installed, we need your order ASAP as they need to get made ahead of time.  We won't be selling pads and stick on stuff unless we have down time.  Regular products take priority over custom and drawn out jobs.

To schedule a time, post up here in the thread or give me a call.  All prices include labor for removal and installation (no, you don't get a discount if you install it yourself).

Solstice Prices:
Stitched Console: $165 (Alcantara sides add $30, otherwise all materials are the same price)
Diamond Console: $215 (Alcantara sides add $30, otherwise all materials are the same price)
Seat Belt Loops: $65 (pair)
Sun Visor Covers: $125 (Mirror cutout adds $25)
Steering Wheel: $395
Seats: $1850
Door Inners: $395 (Pair)
Door Outers: $950 (Pair)
Door Handles: $150 (Pair)
Center Handle: $75
Dash Boomerang: $450 Plain $495 Stitched along seam line
Coupe Targa Top: $475
Main Dash (larger black portion: glove box, airbag, etc): $950
Windshield Frame: $450

Sky Prices:
Stitched Console: $165 (Alcantara sides add $30, otherwise all materials are the same price)
Diamond Console: $215 (Alcantara sides add $30, otherwise all materials are the same price)
Sun Visor Covers: $125 (Mirror cutout adds $25)
Seat Belt Loops: $65 (pair)
Steering Wheel: $395
Seats: $1850

Door Handles: $150 (Pair)
Gauge Hood: $135
Dash Upper: $575
Dash Lower: $950
Windshield Frame: $450

If you don't see something here that you want, let me know. We'll be bringing extra leather with us but don't wait until the last minute to order order or we might run out.

Joe,

Glad to see you guy are able to make it.

Here is what I would like done, in order of preference, in case your schedule doesn't permit you to get to all of it.

1 - Main dash in black leather with boomerang done in the grey alcantara and silver stitching you used in Canton last year on my other pieces
2 - door outers in black leather
3 - windshield frame in black leather

I should be arriving Friday noonish(?) And am currently planning to leave Monday morning.

Thanks!

Thanks Diane,

I recommend that the outer edge of the door be done in the Alcantara as well.  Not only does it look awesome, it helps with any clearance issues you might have in that area since it can be tight sometimes.

I'll put you down for Friday between 3pm and 8pm

I will be getting there late Friday night and staying until Monday morning/early afternoon.  DDM will have the car for a lot of mods, so it will be there for you to take the pillars and surround.

I would be interested in getting the S/C logo embroidered (silver) in the factory seat covers, would this be something you could do at the meet & if so what would the price be?
Anyday between Friday & Monday will be good, take your pick.

Thanks, Jimmy

Hi Jimmy,

Embroidery on the stock seats is not possible.  The reason is because I cannot remove a panel from the seat to embroider separately and the cover by itself is too heavy for the machine to move around and make a correct image.

Joe, its great to hear you are coming out.  You can put me down for the center console and the upgraded shifter.  I like the smaller black poly ball shifter with the Gears scribed into the ball. The leather boot will have red stitching with "GXP" embroidered in it.  The center consol will be a simple regular leather with red stitching and the text saying "Turbo" somewhere on the leather.  I can explain in more detail in person.

Hey Joe, glad to hear you guys are able to make it.  I have a few Updates to request:

1.  airbag cover (redone in black alcantara rather than dark gray to better match the wheel)
2.  Plastic cover behind steering wheel (I rest my hands there and would like that in black alcantara as well)
3.  Touch up stitching on e-brake handle
4.  Jeep Headrest padding/covers in dark gray.  My new jeep came with horrible plastic headrests and I was wondering if you can work your magic on those as well.  I am willing to leave them with you and have you mail them back to me when finished.  Let me know if You can fit this in as well.  I plan to arrive Friday afternoon, but have to leave Sunday.  Thanks!

Here is an idea of what the stock headrests look like.  They are some hard rubber compound.

Thanks.  Not a problem on the sol stuff.  As for the Jeep headrests, I'll have to see what I can work out.  They're not going to be easy though as normal headrest covers have a small hole in the bottom that the foam gets squished through which is obviously not possible with the harder rubber rests.  I'm sure i'll have a better idea of what's possible when I see them.

Can you also cover my tulip in black leather and alcantara with red stitching like my other stuff?  How much would that be?  You can send me a PM if you want.

Not a problem Mike.  I won't put a time down as that's a quick install.  We'll fit you in between the gaps somewhere.
