No boost, rough idel, sputter...sputter sputter...then all of a sudden, total boost. Sitting at light, car is showing boost all over the place and idel up, then down, up, down up down.....What the????
This is the exact same problem the car had for 3 weeks. No one could figure it out then, POW! No problem since. :sorry: :banghead: :banghead:

Yeah, my car picked it up last summer, had a few different turbo and IC related issues. Not sure if the dealer killed it when they fixed the car under warranty, or if it escaped to another car before they could do so.

It's best to take right to a dealer and a service writer witness what's happening.

I'm pretty sure your gremlin is sleeping under my hood but he will be kicked out next month.

BS, sounds like a bad connection caused by moisture to me. I will be on vacation all next week, if you would like I could ride up & we could see what we can find.

I would start by rewiring the crimp on connectors to the 3 bar sensors.  Then I would check all of the engine grounds.

I do not believe any of the ECU wires go anywhere near the VDI hinges but check the bundle anyway for breaks.

That is where I would start.

BSS, you can get a product called HEET or HEAT at an auto parts store. Put it in your tank to remove any moisture.

I just called GM customer service (313-556-5000) and told them I have an issue with my GM vehicle and that my dealership refuses to work on it because it's also modified and could they refer me to another dealership in my area that was more customer friendly.

I was then asked what type of GM vehicle I had and told them a Pontiac Solstice, and referred to Pontiac Customer Service (800-762-2737).  I called that number and got an automated voice mail system telling me to press 1 for this, or 2 for that, etc (BTW, you need your VIN).  Then I pressed 0, and got a live person asking me what the issues was, and I relayed the same story to them.  They wanted to know what the name of the dealership was that was refusing to help.  I just said; I'm just calling this number to check if this is the number I need to call in order to be referred to another dealership that was more customer friendly.  They than proceeded to tell me why a dealership may not be able to address my problem because they do not have the proper equipment or properly trained staff.

I again said,   :banghead: but is this the number I should start with?  Yes, was finally their reply.

Sorry for the length, but for all we know there could be a technical service bulletin out identifying the problem and all you need is a dealership that is willing to look it up and fix it.  The worst that can happen is you have to pay for it since it's probably flagged as modified, but at the very least Pontiac Customer Service may may direct you to a another dealership that will work with you and not against you.

Totally agree with the Supervisor here.
Remove the butt connectors and solder the wires together.  I had months of intermittent problems similar to yours that went away completely after I did this.
If this does not turn out to be the cause, you have at least eliminated it from the guess work
