I can not make the 17th...coaching a tournament all day:(  I am so bummed!  I coach on the 10th, 17th, and Oct 9-10.  Other than that, weekends were clear.  Oh well:(

I just got off the phone with the Stokes State Forest & the High Point people.

Here's the damage to the area:

1. The one lane bridge from Main St. to Tillman road was washed out. They don't know when it will be repaired/replaced.

2. The Sunrise Mountain Road will be closed indefinitely.

3. Sawmill Road is open but the Deckertown bridge nearby was washed away. There's a huge hole on Deckertown Turnpike. Road is closed indefinitely.

Park management is aware that another hurricane is due next week, so I propose that we hold off until next year, early June. Most of our route's second and third loops are impacted. Would this be better for most?

Unfortunately, I agree. 

Sometime in the spring/early summer would be great. Just don't forget that the annual NASSM will be in late June, so we should definitely shoot for early June.

I would still love to be able to get together with the MASSC crowd sometime before Spring. So everyone keep you fingers crossed for a mild start to winter, and we can hopefully hold our Holiday Lights Dinner and Drive without Mother Nature spoiling yet another event.

Marlboro Mike has proposed that we still get together on Sept 17th for dinner and the nightly car show at the Chatterbox Drive-in, even if we can't do the run.

Please let me know if anyone would be interested in a group dinner.  If we get enough interest we can start a separate thread on it.

Let's look at dates for next June and nail it down - I'm good for June 2nd, and the 9th. I really don't want to hold it too close to NASSM.
