They came today. Here is my pictorial installation thread.

I still can't stop smiling.

Caliper Brackets

Stainless Steel lines and Hardware.

8 Brake pads

Gigantic 8 piston calipers

Gigantic 15 inch rotors

Test fit, and the dust shield hits, needs to be removed.

Old and New Rotors

Dust Shield cut away and filed edges.

Refit

Caliper Mock up.

Test fit wheel mockup.

Everything fit great. They did not say I needed Super Blue Dot 4 Racing Fluid until I got the brakes, my town doesn't carry it, so I am having it overnighted tomorrow. I will continue the brake install with the hoses and hose brackets installation.

I didnt want to unbolt the old caliper hose until I was ready to put the new fluid in. I didnt want the old fluid in the new calipers.

Thanks Scott.

you could have used any dot 4 fluid, but the super blue makes it easier to know when you are getting new clean fluid to the braks.  what are you doing on the back?

The exact same brakes, but I am adding a 4 piston caliper also for the drifting hand brake/emergency brake.

Good job, it's not to often that you see someone who goes bigger on the wheels and does the brakes too.

I've been contemplating Wilwood's front and rear
or
Just repainting the calipers and doing DDM's stage 1 kit.
I like the rear loading pad option.

x2. I wish the factory gave us bigger rotors at least. Not like we can carry a spare where it makes sense for the smaller rotor so the spare would fit.

20 Inch wheels. I got the brakes from SLowBoyRacing.

You can get them off Ksport also.

After you have a chance to test drive with the 20 Inch wheels and the new brakes from SlowBoyRacing, please post your thoughts comparing to Stock!  I would imagine the grip would be improved and the brakes a definite upgrade.  Congrats!!!

Thanks,

I think you have that rotor on the wrong side.  Correct me if I am wrong.

Don't expect better stopping distance, you added a lot of unsprung weight with the larger calipers and rotors and 20" wheels. But the fixed calipers should feel really nice.

The Calipers weigh about the same as stock, but the rotors are heavier. Yes the rotors are on the correct side. They have it stamped in them which side they go on.

I remember TCE stating that the directions of the slots on the rotors will not really matter....

so if that rotor has a mark for that side of the car....that is still the correct rotor

I think he might have been looking at the actual rotor vanes. May be a trick of the light though since its a gloss black and could be reflecting it weird.  :idk:

The top photos without the wheels is the wrong side rotor. The pics with the wheels is the correct side with rotor.
