I bought the coverage when I bought the car, insurance for door dings, so I had no out of pocket when he did it. I am sure they would give you a free estimate.

If you were to contact someone they would give you a price before they came out. The guy that I got to do mine charges $100 and he came to my house. I know that he charges the dealers that he visits a lot less but I was just happy to get it done in a few hours without painting.

Who else makes house calls these days?

There is a shop near me that charges $125 per body panel.
That's a really good deal in cases like Hail damage

But IBDrinken, you should be able to get that fixed perfectly for cheap which will help you sell the car.
It's funny how something that minor can be a deal breaker when the rest of the car is in excellent shape

Not so funny really, I myself when looking at buying a car, see something like that and my mind says:

"Okay he doesn't give a crap about the car, so he probably doesn't take care of it"

It's really all perception though.
Could be the other way around just as easily where the car is in great condition but the person hammer on it every chance they get. You never really know unless you have owned the vehicle from the beginning or know the original owner.

wow 700 to fix that thats nuts i have a door hit me center of the same panel just above the tire on the crease it was bent in about 1 in nasty little sucker and i paid 350 all said and done. id look around some.

Wow thats cheap. I did fix and replace the top so maybe that will help sell it since it was torn. That wasnt a cheap fix either.

The one plus since our steel is paper thin is that most dents will come out easy most of the time.

I bet it'll make a big difference. Go to your local dealers used car lot and see how many dented cars are in the lot for sale. None, because they're harder to sell.
