That crash in qualifying could have been nasty

Crashes yellow and red flags are what keep this race interesting
Otherwise it's just a procession

30 minutes before the flag it starts raining
Start is delayed, then delayed again
They start behind the safety car, rain increases
Red flag the race
Finally start the race again behind the safety car
Lot of follow the leader but some good racing great pit strategy, a spectacular crash,
Another red flag
Start again but it is now a timed race
Lots of tries but not much passing.

Did I miss anything?

Yea

Ferrari's total strategy failure and Perez once again showing he can drive dead tires better than most guys can drive on fresh tires.
I seriously don't know how the hell he makes tires last and work well as long as he does, but he has been doing that for years.

He is having a great year and deserved that win.

Is it possible to have an exciting boring race?  I feel like that?s what Monaco was. It?s an amazing venue, but?. They need changes.

Finally got all caught up.

Spain, what the hell Ham?  You are going to quit the race because you got hit and found yourself at the end of the pack?  Has to stick with it because the team wouldn't retire him and he ends up 5th.

Monaco, why did they delay the race because rain was possible?  Then it does rain so run a few formation laps that don't count and then wait for an hour.  My DVR decided it had enough and turned off with about 20 min left and I didn't even care enough to look to see what the results where until just now and it doesn't look like I missed anything.

Azerbaijan this weekend.

Well Baku was a snorefest!  Highlights 4 Ferrari engined cars DNF'd.   Russell was on the podium again (3)  Hamilton could barely get out of his car from backpain from the ride.

HIGHLIGHT - Alpha Tori's DRS flat spit in half, FIA called him in the pits, they duck taped it shut and told him not to use it.  FIA was  to stop him from going back out , but got to the bit to late.  Don't know if anything will happen because of it.

Canada next week.

I agree with that assessment.

Only thing that was weird was that Perez's car just did not seem to work quite as well as Verstappen, but good enough for a 1-2

Engine settings?   90% instead of 100?

Yeah it is his turn to get the short stick.   I thought there was some good racing especially after the safety car.  Ferrari just didn't have the grunt to catch Red Bull.

Boring. But glad to see Ham and Rus getting closer to involved. More exciting when 6 cars are fighting.

I actually fell asleep with about 10 laps to go and had to rewind it to see the end of the race.

OMG -  The first start............I have never seen a car park itself like that. Reminds me of my grandson's slotted parking garage.

The last 10 or so laps after the safety car, damn that was some racing.

There was some good racing between those two high points.

Happy 4th!

That race was something. Pretty exciting most of the way. That first corner crash was scary.

I find myself cheering for HAM to be competitive and fight for the lead. Makes things more interesting.
Perez drove the wheels off that car after his unscheduled pit stop. Kudos to him.

The battle with 10ish laps to go was awesome. HAM and LEC with amazing car control and perfect car placements at 160mph.

Make the right choices now
