Gasly fills the empty spot at Red Bull.  That makes complete sense.  He has been excellent in qualifying and has had some great races.   I just hope him and Verstappen don't have a lot of contact on race days as Verstappen is probably going to try and puff his chest to show he is now #1

They talked about some of the drivers changes. Also Bottas has a new engine and will start in the back of the pack.

Yes a very interesting qualifying.  Especially when you throw a little rain in at the beginning of q3.    Pink did well indeed.  Although the latest rumor has Stroll replacing Ocon by the next race.

Don't know what is going to happen to Ocon.   It is all over the F1 Facebook page.  They are usually the first to report anything.

Turn one was impressive,  the halo proved to be a good addition.  Team pink did well.  Bottas had a good come back following the grid penalties.

The one tire would have hit LeClerc in the head without the halo.  That just proved it's effectiveness.  That was a crazy crash.  After that the race was pretty tame.
Barring driver error, mechanical failure or MB pulling something out of their hat, Ferrari looks to be the favorite for next weekend.   They were significantly faster than MB.

Great result for HAAS this weekend and especially Grosjean.  Team pink as well.

Bummer for everyone that got taken out.  Hulkenburg just missed his brake point and then chaos ensured

So did ESPN decide not to air FP2 or what?  I guess Ericson had a pretty bad wreck but walked away.

We watched 1,2, and 3 and never saw the wreck until they showed it during qualifications.  Q3 was amazing!

Vettel showed his true colors the second Q3 was over. What make me SOOOO Happy is that no matter what happens for the rest of the season, or maybe even for the rest of Vettel's Ferrari Career
Kimi, not Vettel, holds the record for fastest lap in F1 history, and did it in Italy in a Ferrari.

Team orders on Sunday will never be able to take that away.

Go KIMI!!!

That was a great race.  Vettel's BS finally bit himself in the ass.  I was glad to see Bottas get on the podium after all he did to help Ham.

I rewatched the race start numerous times and Kimi made a good start and covered both Vettel and Hamilton.
Then, as he is apt to do, Vettel made a driving error that cost him the race. Vettel can cry all he wants, but Hamilton drove the race line and actually gave ground as Vettel tried to push him wide and/or ran wide.

As far as Kimi losing the race, I blame that on Ferrari's strategy. Their overall race strategy continues to fail them. They should have let MB Pit first. Kimi was not losing time, and MB's only chance to win was to try and do it with newer tires towards the end. Kimi having tires 8 laps older and getting caught behind Bottas is what ultimately caused his tires to go off.

MB as a Team beat Ferrari because Ferrari does not race as a team. Ferrari will not win the driver or Constructor until they figure that out.

End result
Hamilton has a driver lead of 5 Points more than a DNF

Other notables. Verstappen moved a ton under braking and I think his penalty was fair, especially after he cut the one corner to maintain that place earlier in the race.

Grosjean has another solid race. Not sure what happened to Magnussen but as a result of Grosjean's push, HAAS has climbed into a tie for 4th Place. That's incredible impressive for a team this young

You forgot team Pink, they moved into 8th I believe with only two races under their belts.  Yeah 28 points in two races and they are 2 points behind Toro Rosa for 7th place.

That is really not what I expected but if Kimi wants to go that way until he retires good for him.
What I do not like is Leclerc going to Ferrari, he is no Kimi or Bottas when it comes to driving, hope I am wrong.

He probably had to sign a contract to the fact that he can't outdo Vettel, and must help him at all times.  Wonder if he will have to carry his luggage as well.

I think this shows Ferrari's true colors, their primary driver isn't getting the job done even though he probably has the best car out there this year.  Kimi has been trying to help him out at the cost of his chance to win and in return the team replaces him.

Next season is looking like it could be real interesting.

Vettel is a total :censor: .  I hope he blanks at Ferrari.  That way, when you look in the Ferrari record books you will see

Kimi Raikkonen F1 Champion
Kimi Raikkonen Fastest F1 lap in the history of F1
Vettel, He was here for a couple of years, Could have won a championship, but crashed himself out of the competition.

Ricciardo was better than Vettel at Red Bull.
I am hoping LeClerc punks Vettel and Ferrari makes LeClerc the #1 driver.

Vettel has the fastest car in F1 right now, yet he can't win, even with Kimi blocking for him.
