All aspects of racing utilize that formulae to try and improve their track times.

The better the weight to power ratio is, combined with the ability to get good traction will equal better track times.
Good traction is a function of proper tires for the environment, a well tuned suspension and depending on the venue, aerodynamics.

J_Bond not a problem, I have a thick skin and the 3rd gear from hell transmission.  Lauch, 1st and 2nd in the first 5 seconds, then 3rd, get the newspaper and read it the rest of the way down the track.  Jimmy's car with the stageII and auto is probably a bit quicker.  My 3rd gear is usable for 20 mph to just under 110.  I have tried short shifting into 4th and it is slower, so 3rd gear through the traps approching redline is the best I can do.

Added a few more things. Going to be doing more wiring (that I can get to without tearing apart the dash completly) and mirror swap next week. Debating on removing the visors as I do use it on that rare occasion.

Is that a tcm software problem or a physical transmission problem?

The 06's were only manual, and since it came out of a truck, it has a very long 3rd gear.  The gearing was changed in 07.

Added a couple more things to the list. Removed the rest of the stereo since I wasnt listening to it and got used to the wind/road noise. I did go and add an aftermarket one in but found myself having it turned down or turned off so I just took it out and returned it. The "without face" is where I just took the back half of the radio off and just have the stock radio face still bolted to the dash so its not an open hole so the dash still looks stock.

So with what Ive seen with weights of the lightweight battery and solo header back single exhaust, probably end up a hair under 100lbs.

Turns out the solo exhaust setup was only about 1/2lb lighter than the whole factory setup. Perhaps all those weights being thrown around were before they added the resonator in? I would guess that adds about 8-10lbs. Or theyre guys running the race exhausts?
