What's the orange little monkey doing...(that is a softball right across the plate if ever there was one).

I'm afraid to ask but, how do you know it's orange?

SA,

What's wrong with you?  He is talking about my avatar. Are you over celebrating 5 de Mayo?

You don't think GJ's avatar is really a picture of GJ do you. On the other hand...

There are several pictures of me and GJ so I know what he looks like.  His monkey on the other hand I have no knowledge of.

It's pretty significant for Mexicans.  We discussed this last year

a Mexican Holiday celebrating the Battle of Puebla, which took place on May 5, 1862. In 1861, France sent a massive army to invade Mexico, as they wanted to collect on some war debts. The French army was much larger, better trained and equipped than the Mexicans struggling to defend the road to Mexico City. It rolled through Mexico until it reached Puebla, where the Mexicans made a valiant stand, and, against all logic, won a huge victory. It was short-lived, as the French army regrouped and continued; eventually taking Mexico City, but the euphoria of an unlikely victory against overwhelming odds is remembered every May fifth.

It's also the last time Fance ever fought ( don't really know if that's true but it sounds funny)

Elff,

One of your best typos...

Fance.  Yes they are.

It's a big day here in Mexico where I live too.  Mostly because everybody likes a chance to celebrate something.  Just don't confuse this day with Mexican Independence day.  That is totally different.

I made GJ's special margaritas last night, and since they just opend the first and only Dunkin Donuts in California not far from me, I decided to celebrate both things together and serve my Margis in DD cups.  FYI-  salt really sticks well to styrofoam.

Hmm... not sure why I started a thread, only to have the following three pages have nothing to do with the thread.  Guess I shouldn't start threads anymore, eh?

Id like to add(and get back on subject) that the current numbers in my sig were on E47(91/E85) on a Dyno Dynamics. Now, Ive been running full E85 now for about 2 months with no hickups and with ZZP's Stage 1(Bigger Fuel Lobe) and Supertech Springs. I'll be dynoing my car next weekend to see what she puts down then. Then I'll do a dyno with a 5th injector installed on stock turbo. After that I'll slap the 2871 and dyno on that.

That should be interesting, the various dyno's that is.

So you're almost 50 hp more than me (your numbers) and 30 tq more on E47.  Was that stock cam then?  Our cars are similar in bolts on (not sure what Mach Shorty is, I'm running a high flow can and no mufflers), and stock internals on engine parts.  I know there was more to be had when I had the car on the dyno, but I had an opportunity for cheap to get it done... so I did.

I've tweaked my tune since then, and I'll be running 1/4 miles on Friday... so I'm interested in what I'll post for times (I don't drag race so my launches will suck... I'm used to autocross starts!).

Wohooo, can't wait to see your time rlhamon.

Just practice on a empty road and expect far better traction, ignore the tree, aim only the ET.
Don't try to do perfect from first run, just work progressively, if is empty at the track would be better for you.

You should do good on the start if you are good at starting in AutoX.

We only have the 1/8 here in San Diego so the best I've ran( on stock tires) was a 8.3 @92mph 60ft 1.9 reaction .588. As Kelu stated, progress through the night. Don't try right away. Learn what rpm to launch, learn the lights and slightly heat your tires up.

You would have smacked that STI on 1/4 mile ;) Nice job 2.0s on 60ft with stock tires. My best around here was 2.0s too but GT comes with Bridgestone Potenza RE050A.

What are you launching at?  I cannot launch higher than 2500.  Above that I convert rubber to smoke.

Supercharger is putting out 200 lb of tq at 2,000 RPM, 270 by 3,000 RPM.   It would take slicks to get a better bite. Since I  don't have a rollbar and I am right on the edge of being asked to leave because of that fact, it would be a waste of money.
