Wanted ASAP: Stock NA Exhaust!
« on: May 25, 2012, 04:42:35 PM »
Help!!!!!!  Posting for another owner:  Derek in Chicago needs to buy a stock NA exhaust by Tuesday of next week!!  He's upgraded to a GXP and needs to put the NA back to stock for a quick sale!

I don't believe there are differences in NA exhausts, but just in case, he has a 2006.

If anyone in IL or within a few hours drive of Chicagoland has a stock NA exhaust, please email him at drausel at gmail dot com.

Feel free to PM me as I can reach Derek also.

OR

I actually have a stock NA exhaust, but I don't have a way to get it to him.  If anyone is road tripping through Cleveland to Chicago this weekend and can take mine to him, PM me!

Chop off the GXP exhaust and cap it.

I believe the NA and GXP exhausts are different sizes...2.5" on the NA, 3" on the GXP.  He'd have to do some real quick modding.  Not sure he's got the workspace either.  Plug and play would be the simplest and quickest.  He needs this on the car by Tuesday night.

I know.  That one is in Washington.  I don't see it making it to IL in time without $$$ shipping given the holiday weekend.  Need something closer to home.  I have one that is much closer than Washington.  I just have no way to get it to him this weekend.  If it would fit in my car, I could try to ship it to him, but I'm still not certain it would make it by Tuesday.  And if I wasn't busy this weekend, I'd just go to IL myself. :(

Sorry for this one but can someone quickly educate me on what NA means. I tried everything and nothing seems obvious - to a bike guy...

Exactly.  I have mine which is closer, but I can't get it to him.  If I wasn't busy this weekend here in Ohio, I'd be on my way to IL right now.

I'll check the Sol side and see if we have any luck there.  Thanks though!

He could have today, but I found too late. He was half way here. 400 miles one way was further than he wanted to go.

He's the one with the need, but I guess if he isn't motivated that much to come to you to get it.  He could always go to the dealer and buy new.

Actually Joe, that's not a bad idea.  He could call around and see if a dealer has one.  Actually, it's a dealer who wants to buy the car from him and they don't want his stacked Solo exhaust he has on it now.  They've offered him a lot less for the car with the Solo exhaust vs. stock.  Enough so that he's better off to buy a stock exhaust and sell his Solo exhaust.

He had a lot of Norm's parts on the car...fenders, valance, front bumper.  Norm actually had all of his stock parts except the exhaust.  He had plenty of GXP exhausts, but no NA's.

Not sure.  I can ask him and find out.  I think they're black so he might put them on the GXP.

*edit...He's going to put them on the Coupe for now.  But he said Norm is working on new fenders so he might sell them later after he sees Norms.

OK, sounds like they are going to take my exhaust!  UPS can ship it for $95 and have it to Chicago in time!  If I can get it to UPS in my G6!  This should be ghetto!

Well, nevermind.  It's cheaper to drive here than to ship it UPS Freight.  Ouch!!  See the new thread!
