Actually...GJ is pretty much right.  Except for the National Kappa Club.  There were enough people.  There was a committee of 7 or so people....President, VP, Treasurer and regional representatives...it died due to lack of membership support.  It's on the Solstice forum if you ever care to go back, sift through and read what happened.

As for the drama and root cause:  I have a theory and I'm pretty sure it's right.  No...I know it's right.  I know that was the start of it all.  If anyone wants, I can explain via PM.

I don't know GJ, I kinda already asked someone else to the 2013 Flagstaff prom, but I haven't gotten a response back yet.  So GJ...will you be my date for the 2013 Flagstaff prom??  As long as you don't mind me sharing my time with my other date!  I'll just have to run back and forth between the 2 of you!!

Replying to SA's comment about lack of attendance.  I found after contacting local owners, about six so far, that they are just not interested in associating with other car people.  I have not attended the last two nationals, Austin is too hot for me and a long drive, and I had other commitments during Asheville.  It is not just the cost of the fee, but also the cost of time off and the cost of driving, eating, and hotels.  Curious, has anyone done a poll of forum members and compared the number of cars made to number of forum people, to those that would be interested in attending a national to the number that actually show?
Tim.

Diana, a manual sounds like an awesome idea and with your writing skills, you'd be the perfect person to do it. (Like you don't have enough on your plate.) I think that having a discussion about 2014 at the T2TR is a great idea.

Stuck, I'm sorry I missed Austin but my son graduated grammer school that week. I heard by all counts it was awesome!

Diane, Jason, Karen and Rusty have mentioned that NY would be difficult for them to manage, and I can see that. The Poconos are convenient for many in our group.

I'm good with either location but my concern right now is that everyone who chooses to come on board understands that the 2014 venture has to be a team project, with information being relayed to all parties in the loop on a consistent basis over the next two years. Communication is as huge as factor as  enthusiasm so it's time to Talk Talk! British rocker '80's group?  :D

SA, she couldn't ask sooner. She'd need to run it by Twitchy first.

With 4 forums and FB to keep track of . . .  one sometimes doesn't remembers who's who or which forum they're on . . .  Twitchy is Sooner's bride/wife.  If that response elicits further questions, as I assume it will, then just assume that they don't hang on this forum,

. . .

and Blame it on Farcebook.   :slap:

I got a ton of WWE wrestlers and stuff sitting up in the attic from Mikey's addiction in 2006. I think DB might be among them.

You must have a HUGE attic if you have a bunch of wrestlers up there.  Do you have to feed them?  or do you allow them out of the house on good behavior?  That must be a really rough neighborhood.  Can't you kick them out?  Especially the Douche Bag?  I would think since it's your house, you could as that DB to leave.  If you need a good property lawyer, let me know.

Any more whispers on this? The SWSC Bucket List Crew is starting to make tenative plans for heading up to the New York/Maine area in that timeframe and we would like to work in the NASSM if happens up there.

From what I have heard it is a go. We will be getting together on April 20 for the Buds & Blossoms run so I'm sure we'll discuss it when we have a bunch of us together then. Additionally, since I have been asked to coordinate fundraising and DBG has been asked to coordinate vendors I'm pretty sure you can start planning. No dates have been discussed as of yet, but if I had to put money on it I'd say it would be sometime around the Summer Solstice.
