Bill, have to experienced the June and September "love bugs"? Bad enough for cars and trucks, been I was in S. Ga. for fives years, they were AWFUL when I rode a motorcycle!!! Glad the situation in central Fla is working out for you.

Critterman I think that one is worse then some of your posts, I think we should let GJ try and decode it. :poke:

Wow Bill, you sure have had to endure a lot with family and business. I certainly wondered what the story was in my reading of the forums but in the end it was none of my business. Thanks for being upfront. It sounds though with love, personally, and a renewed beginning for your business in Florida, you are in a better place to enjoy life. I wish you the best in both.

Oh and I’m saving for a new IC (shamless plug)!!!

Oh Yea! We have had 3 seasons now of love bugs.... Just horrible.. It is sooo hard to keep our Kappas clean! as well as the other cars/motorcycles we have. We love the location here.. Not another move for a very long time but it will be further south!   :D  Thank you all for the great welcome! SkyBaby

When I was in Valdosta and Waycross (the latter to be avoided at all costs !!!) in the mid 70's, one season they were SO bad that Greyhound and Amtrak stopped operating for about a week. The "dog" could not keep the windshields cleared, and the trains cooling systems became clogged. As for keeping vehicles clean, there is only one viable method - park the nice rides, and drive a complete beater (otherwise known down there as a hooptie).

Hey Hahn. I really like the intercooler. Did not like the install and how tight flipping and re using the factory brace. I would of rather paid actually 20 more for custom brackets Infact. Just future idea. Thanks.

To everyone, please accept my heartfelt thanks.  The Kappa has been a big part of my world for as long as it has existed, and being absent from "the scene" while tending to life's more pressing priorities has been most difficult for me.

To those who may wonder why I did not "come clean" sooner, there are a variety of reasons.   Perhaps the most significant is that of business and competition.  I've kept this information close to the heart, for one tends to not willingly inform one's competition of one's exposed flank(s), and man, were we ever exposed!  In this regard, no news is truly good news, for sufficient bad news can give the competition a real leg up, enabling an unfair and possibly significant competitive advantage.  Without a doubt, my competition has enjoyed additional business due to our trials and tribulations, and that's all I wished to give willingly.  I wasn't about to show my entire hand.  Call it strategy, call it paranoid, call it what you will...but it was the gut instinct of a man who's been self-employed for decades.  I tend to follow my gut about such things.

Further, while I am no doubt a public entity, and involved in public pursuits, my personal life is just that...personal, and I chose not to air my laundry until such a time as I felt sufficiently confident about the future and my company's ability to move forward confidently.  Anecdotal information was already in play in the public sphere about our move, and I let that suffice.

More than anything, I wanted to be sure that when I did finally come clean, my company and I would both be ready for full-bore action.  That time has come, and man, it's sure great to be back!

-Bill

I think I speak for most if not all when I say this. I completely agree that your personal business is just that and who you chose to share it with and for what reason is your own choice and I feel very privileged you feel that us in the kappa community are like a family to you and that you can share it with us. As for me I'm glad you shared your experience with us as to me it shows your dedication to your customers you seam to feel that we are a family more then customers and I thank you for that. I'm sure the future is bright for your company and your quality products speak volumes about your passion. We in the kappa community are lucky to have venders like yourself ddm norms fiberglass etc as it's rare to have a company put customer service first. God speed and my your future be bright and filled with friends and loved ones.

Our President could learn much about small business from your dissertation. Unfortunately, he hasn't a clue.
