Don't detail your PAINT with PoorBoys "Natural Look"
« on: October 01, 2012, 11:21:26 PM »
I've been telling myself for some time that this was going to happen one of these days. I tried to detail the hood today with PoorBoys Natural Look. It's a tire, leather and plastic detailer and leaves a natural look that isn't shiny. I love the stuff but it doesn't work well on paint though.   :gaah:

PoorBoys "Spray and Wipe" detailing spray for the painted surfaces is close to the color of the "Natural Look" and if you are in a hurry you could easily mix them up. Especially if the products are in the original containers that look quite similar.   :banghead:

I got a good laugh that my premonition finally came true and I went through a few rags trying to get the streaks off the paint but you can't tell now.

Funny the stuff you do when you're in a hurry.
Just trying to do my part...

It's as bad as using OFF oven cleaner instead of Pledge..both yellow cans.

:O

What about using Pledge instead of Off Bug Spray?

Actually that would be worst as it will remove the paint.

I couldn't either so I took the link and entered it into another window, saved the file that came up.  I must say I don't quite understand the reference, but I will include the picture and maybe someone can explain it to me.

I don't get the picture either but the thing sure looks as though it was Photoshopped like crazy. Doesn't look right.
