As I mentioned previously I have actually weighed the bars now... and I have pictures.  For the record I'm not done with my install, but I did remove my ZOK rear sway bar tonight.  I was able to remove the old bar by pulling only one rear toe adjustment link, and unfortunately I can not find the angle to install the new bar with only one link pulled.  My main problem is the drivers side link doesn't want to break free... and I'm out of time for tonight to work on the car.
You prolly don't need to pull the toe link.  I know I didn't when I swapped to the Z0K bar.  I did find that a spare jack under the hob, to raise the suspension 'just so', was necessary though. :)

At this point I am very relieved that I chose NOT to participate in this little venture.

I have faith in Dave, but at the same time appreciate regular status updates, even if its nothing more than; still waiting on vendor.  Plus our platforms needs all the vendors we can get.

I didn't say that I don't think we'll see them but updates would be nice. Simply saying as Dave posted on March 31st, that he's contacting the supplier for an update without any follow through doesn't amount to a hill of beans. This thread is now over seven months old.

I agree that we need all the vendor support we can get and PAW does generally have a good reputation with the community.

I am surprised just how patient everyone has been with this.  I don't think I could have paid for something seven months ago not had all of it shipped and gotten little to no updates over that time without either demanding my money back or filing a fraud case with my states attorneys office.

You all should be commended.

Even though you all are being so patient it's all those potential customers that are deciding not to do future business with a vendor because they see how things are going that someone should really be concerned with.

Exactly!  I vaguely remember this guy that was going to produce inset grills for the Solstice.  Whatever happened to him?

On SA`s behalf, I believe he did his part with supplying the design. I have been wrong before though.

Hello everyone.

I had a conversation with the owner of the manufacturing company that makes our sway bars and he told me he is currently waiting on more steel to arrive from the mill to run our batch.  His last, much larger run for another company ate up most of his supply and unfortunately the steel he uses for our bars has been on backorder for a few weeks now preventing him from running any more bars with the wall thickness of our bars.  He has a couple done that he ran just to test the bends so I am going to get those and ship them out to the first couple guys who placed their orders.

With that said I am being told 3 weeks from today before I am going to see the front bars, I really apologize for the delays!!!  I will have to work up some more freebies for you guys who have been so patient with this whole process!!!

Wow, that was easy!

We just want the bars Dave. I know you want to get this done too but what Sol Asylum says is very true.

You're not wrong, I have a few additional ideas that I could be working on but one design was supplied to a vendor we just never heard anything back from them.  But since that topic has it's own thread that is where we should discuss it.

Are they scheduled to be finished May 12th?

How long after that will they ship to us?

I agree with you on the Z0K install.  I had jack stands under my trailer hitch bar and a jack under the lower control arm on each side.  I couldn't get the car up in the air enough to not pull both toe adjustment links.  If I was on a lift, I could do it.  These bars are longer than the Z0K bars (or stock) and I just couldn't get enough room to maneuver.

My guess is most others won't have this same issue.  Why?  Well, my car rides *really* low due to my autocross setup.  I can't lift the back end up as much as most as my nose is sitting on the ground.  If I jacked up the front end some, and then the back end... I might have been able to wiggle it in there just fine.  As it was, I was rather close to just taking a grinding wheel and trimming the bar to make it go... but I didn't want to disturb the nice powder coat finish.

I got my front bar the middle of last week. It is still in the box...should I be concerned that it is a second rear bar?  :poke:

No Josh, it's a front bar, we had a couple test bars come in a couple weeks ago and I shipped one out to you and one to a local who helped with testing here.

Dave, what setup for the front and rear bars would you recommend for street use?    :idk:

Full soft to start with, you want compliance on the street with bumpy and not so consistent road conditions.  Then work your way up from there if you want less roll.  We found that the softer settings really helped with corner exit bite on bumpier tracks/street.  We only saw the need for a full stiff setting when going to a very smooth fast track such as Road America where high speed stability is key.

And the softest setting is closest to the end on both the front and rear bar?

Rough roads? We got 'em!    :barf2:
