And the softest setting is closest to the end on both the front and rear bar?

Rough roads? We got 'em!    :barf2:

Yes that is correct.

No Josh, it's a front bar, we had a couple test bars come in a couple weeks ago and I shipped one out to you and one to a local who helped with testing here.
Oh wow, cool. I would have made time to get it installed this past weekend if I knew that...I will see what I can shake loose on the schedule to get it in there.

I can attest to the huge difference the rear bar has made. I have it at the middle setting and the car is far more controlled and no under steer. In fact, I think it has a tad oversteer, which is great for auto cross but makes me a little nervous for street and track use. But, the rear bar has resulted in dramatically better auto cross performance - I am now among the top cars where before I was upper-mid pack. I can't wait to get the front bars and start tweaking the balance.

By the way, I had to remove the toe-link on one side to get the rear bar installed.  The added length required it no matter how I tried to finagle things.  Unless you have more pretzel logic than me.....

Treeman - what bar did you have before?  Stock or Z0K?

His experience sounds similar to mine when I added the ZOK rear bar.

I've got my car up and running again and my next autocross event is this weekend... I'll make some evaluation of the rear bar (currently set to the middle hole) vs. the years I have on the Z0K rear bar.

Isn't the rear hole going to be the same as the ZOK?

Stock FE3. So I can't compare to Z0K except to say that these are adjustable.

Werks says the range is from Z0K to 10% stiffer. So, I guess I am at 5% stiffer.

Agree... this is what Dave wrote early on in the thread:

"Stiffness is achieved by more than just diameter and wall thickness, length, material and attachment point location also factor in.  On the inner adjustment point the stiffness is 10% stiffer than the Z0K bars, the outer points are at the ZoK stiffness, you are essentially getting 2 sets of bars in one!"

So, inner hole is 10% stiffer, outer hole is Z0K, middle hole >Z0K & <10% stiffer.  I'll run my race in the middle hole and see how it goes... perhaps if I feel the need to change I can at lunch.

Put MY bar on today finally. Took me a bit of time but dropping the toe adjustment link made it easy to get the old bar out and the new one in. Removed the forward hangers of the two pairs of hangers on the back of my Solo GXP-RCD but didn't have to drop the system down. Nothing was coming off with out that rubber hanger out of the way

No driving impressions yet. Too cold and wet to enjoy the car today.

OK... so today was my first autocross with the adjustable rear sway bar.  I had the bar set in the middle hole.

Impressions compared to my Z0K bar I had for years:

1) Seemed to induce a bit of oversteer
2) I didn't like it the first few runs
3) I seemed to adjust to it on course, though still not sure I prefer it over my Z0K

I wouldn't say that the middle hole was a bad choice, and on the street I don't notice the difference between my Z0K and this bar... but on the track I can tell the slight difference.  I think with another event (coming in two weeks) under my belt I might end up liking this a bit more than my Z0K.  I'm not sure I'd ever need the outer most hole for autocross though... but if I can get myself into a test-n-tune so I can compare times to different bar settings I'll do it.

My next event is a much longer, faster, more sweeping course setup.... so perhaps it will showcase the benefits a bit more.  Still think it was a good choice, and looking to see what I can do to tweak the setup with the adjustable front as well.  Perhaps I'll be lucky and have it before the end of the month and get it installed before the next race.

I see my bar is shipped today, and will arrive tomorrow.  I'm going to see if I can intercept the shipment and have it arrive at work as I'm gone this weekend for a two day autocross event and I can install the bar for it there.

What do you have for a front bar?

I've been running the stock F03 front sway bar, I've only ever changed the back bar from stock F03, to Z0K, to this adjustable rear.

Received my WERKS front bar on  4/3/14   Thanks Dave.

RLHammond, did you install your front bar during for your last autocross, and did you change the rear sway bar setting?  If so, what were your impressions?

Got my bar in Canada today although I had to drive to Niagara Falls NY to get it, thanks Dave.

Wondering why a different finish on this bar?

Got my front bar two days ago.  Not sure when I'll get a chance to install it.  Maybe this weekend.

Dave did an excellent job at rerouting my bar to me at work, and while it was delivered to work... it just didn't make it through my work mail system to get to me before I had to leave.  Unfortunately I didn't get it installed for the last event weekend.

I did run with the rear adjustable on a much more open (read: *fast*) course, which drove more like a track event vs. the previous event which was held at Tire Rack's test track (small, tight, and hard to do corners).  The result was that I was LOVING the bar setting at the middle adjustment point for the rear.

Overall I was certainly able to lay down the power sooner, and the rear end felt *PLANTED*.  With the rear Z0K bar I could induce a bit of rear end "walk", but it was always controllable.  I never had an issue with spinning the car with the Z0K bar, but didn't with the stock GXP rear bar.  This was predictable from the start, and helped me.  The weekend featured a large National level competition field, and I finished up Saturday 9th on PAX out of field of 74, and Sunday was 8th out of a total field of 70.  I was very happy with my placement.  No doubt that the rear bar lent a hand.  I've raced at Grissom many a time with this car and know what I can and can't do out there... I got a lot of feedback on the weekend about how "smooth" and "planted" the car looked, and this is from people that see it often.  The rear bar helped me out.

My next event is a LONG ways out... I'm taking June and July off from competition and won't be back until end of August, just a few weeks before Nationals (the week of Labor Day).  I don' t plan on running my car at Nationals this year though... but perhaps I will co-drive in a different car.  I've been lucky to have driven a wide assortment of cars in autocross lately (my GXP, a miata, a BRZ, and a SMF supercharged Mercury Cougar - more fun than you might think).  You might see me in a BRZ at Nationals this year... I think I've got a ride that can put me in the trophies.

Received my WERKS front bar on  4/3/14   Thanks Dave.

Got mine and have them installed. Great addition to the car and although I don't generally push the car hard I find it's tightened up the handling considerably and sure flattened out the cornering.

Gotta get under there and move the rear bar to the center hole.
