Yeah good question, but doesn't Philly have a recycling program for that sort of thing?

No where near enough room to use a cobalt manifold.

Turbo points the wrong way and everything.

I am going to answered the question post on the other thread.
HE WRAPPED IT!!!!  HE DID NOT COATED!!! Big difference.
Now if you read the documents I posted, it would become extremely clear this is a NO NO!!!
We are talking about sustain heat!!!! T304/T321/316L will brake with SUSTAIN HEAT ABOVE 1700F.
Also Turbo housing is cast.

Can you explain that further LV

Are you saying that wrapping a non coated header is a no no?

My exhaust has a ceramic coating inside and out.  True I am not running a turbo, but I imagine the supercharger heats things up a bit.  5 years now without a crack.

never had an issue with all my turbo civics, RSX, etc...as well

I coat them....and on top  of that...I wrap them with heat wraps.   NO cracks.

thats why I on my current build, I will still use all of em again....since I never had a bad experience with them.

YES !!!

Critterman:
The fact you have coated in the inside on a non turbo application is the way to do it.

Also this in some of my other posts.
PLEASE read the documents otherwise your statements have no support.
One quick point NA engines exhaust manifolds are never going to see the temperatures seen on OEM TURBO DI manifold engines.
It does not matter how many Honda/Toyota/Subaru you have done in the past, if the original OEM engine was NA.
Even if the engine was OEM turbo but not DI then that is also a different set of parameters.
Also a turbo housing is made of CAST and it has no bearing on this discussion.
The ONLY way this is going to go any where is with REAL life EGT figures, otherwise is just talk.
One last thing to chew on. The coating agents usually can withstand temperatures from 2000F to 3000F.
You could have a manifold with surface cracks and will not know it, because the coating agent will mask it.

NA manifolds have lower EGT compared to a boosted DI, no doubt about that.

but once you boosted a stock NA civic, EGT increases tremendously and can also go up to 1700-2000 depending on the set-up

once I'm finished with my project, I can share EGT figures from a DI kappa.   We'll be installing a couple of EGT sensors on my primary turbo's manifold.

once your manifold cracks.........it doesnt matter if you have wraps or ceramic coating............if you don't notice the decrease in performance of your car, or at least the sound difference,  or not smell the smoke coming out of it.........or the obvious black soot/discoloration of your manifold that is covered with wrap/coat..........then I don't know what else to say :)

If you have a good ceramic coating like you have posted before and there are others, if you have surface crack, the thickness of the coating with the bond it has created will not actually brake. You would have to experience braking from shaking or extreme vibration for the crack to appear. No temperature cracks will be seen unless it exceeds the coating temperature maximum.
Also  I never talked about wrap in my post, so it does not even come into the discussion.
By the way if you have a NA car and add a turbo the Temperature of the manifold engine exhaust gasses will be the same as if you did not have a turbo.
The EGT you are seen is for the turbo and it's components, so let's not confuse the issues.
Your compound turbo is a different animal and it does not fit into this discussion.

if a steel cracks, the ceramic coating will also crack.

even if I'll have two turbos in my system,  I believe my EGT temps of my manifold will be very similar to a single turboed LNF engine.   I don't see any reason, why they'll be different.

You want accuracy on EGT temps of LNF manifold, this is where you'll get the range of temp....real time..................   and NO guessing....and no assuming..

EGT bungs already ready for EGT sensors for each of the runners on my manifold
