Trifecta questions
« on: April 22, 2014, 09:04:54 PM »
Hi there - I submitted a question through your contact form on Saturday but haven't gotten a response yet. Hoping that I didn't get the wrong contact info in there or something.

Anyway, I have some questions about a Trifecta tune for my '07 GXP and was hoping to talk to someone about options. You can reach me here through PM and I'll give you a call or you can call me.

Thanks!

Chris

I just bought this tune yesterday from BNR and I have been corresponding with Ashley through the same contact form with great response time. I asked about the selectable tuning. Maybe throw your Question out here. I do not know how often they frequent the forum so I'll send them a note telling them to come and check out your post.

Good luck

Bert

Chris,

If you decide to go the Trifecta route and are interested in a red cable, I can make you a great deal on mine since I removed the Trifecta tune and went with HP Tuners as I'm upgrading to the WR-3 turbo and wanted the ability to see what's going on when logging.

The Trifecta tune served me well and is a great power adder.

Thanks Bert, that would be most helpful. I pinged them on their Facebook account as well.

Wow, almost to Friday and no response whatsoever from BNR through any of the methods I've tried to contact them. :(

I'll send them one more contact request through their web form, but after that I give up.

Same problem I had going through WOT. Seems people just don't want money these days. If you need to borrow my HP Tuners Suite, let me know.

A few years ago I spoke with Vince at Trifecta and he was getting over 100 emails per day of just inquiries. Before phone calls and paid customers. These business get a ton of phishing emails.

If you are serious then make the minor extra effort and call your vendor. Service goes to those first to those pay for the tune or drop the dime over the phone and show initiative. Email/web inquiries are at the bottom of the order and with all the platforms offered and paying customers business is good.

Calling is my normal M.O., but in this case BNR has no published contact method other than the form on their web site. If they had a number published anywhere I would have called rather than emailed.

On a positive note, I did just get a reply in email

Cheers!

Good to hear. Sad to see BNR with no phone # contact. It looks so very shadowy, like many overseas sellers. That is make or break for many people. Just saying.

Thanks Nine29, and welcome to the forum. I'm relatively new myself...bought my '07 last November.

Cheers,

Chris

Hey guys, we don't get on here too often, but I think that will have to change :)

Chris, we had a slight mix up with your contact request, I just replied to it.

I may get a chance to install it on Sunday...if not it will need to wait until next weekend. I'll definitely report back...

It's about a 10 minute install and I'm sure your report will include an ear-to-ear grin as the tune makes a really nice increase in performance.

Slight snag...

Just got back from the dealership getting my ignition switch recall done. The recall work was completed quicker than promised, so was feeling pretty good about that. Got back to the house and installed the driver on the laptop, connected up the cable and launched the tuning software. Tried to install the tune but I keep getting an "R19" connectivity error. The software sees the ECU just fine as it can read the VIN and see that there are no latent codes, but no matter what I do I keep getting an "R19" error when trying to flash.

I've dropped BNR a support message so hopefully I can get a remedy soon :(
