After few months of delay I got the car back, everything seems working well.

I'm impressed by the mechanic pulling it pretty fast (even took months, he worked only days to finish it) and very good quality work. The guy who take care of assembly was new in the shop, brought in the shop after the engine was dissembled.

The stock clutch is so nice and smooth, I hope it will last

The only problem which I noticed is a metallic squeak when I down shift. The suspected part is the crank gear which was reported as showing visible wear:

I'm thinking to replace all gears and parts related to the timing if I have to remove the timing chain again to replace the crankshaft gear.

Looks like the front of the crank gear is missing the very thin metal washer. I believe it's a thrust washer between the oil pump and the gear.

Not sure if is missing because the picture was taken during the installation or that might be the issue from the metallic squeak when downshifting even gently?

Hard to say. I just noticed it wasn't in that picture. It drove me nuts the first time I was going to time the motor and couldn't find the timing mark on the gear because that thin washer was covering it.

Dunno what to say but the squake is gone, i didn't drive it for few days and this weekend no mores squeaks. All good, prepAring for oil change and almost normal driving

I love the fact that these guys race around a track at 200+mph with no roll cages or protections other than a helmet leather and body armor and that they actually hit each other.
