Not talking about "Android-compatible," but units that run Android OS on the head unit itself? Seems none of the big names offer that (yet). The only options are Chinese-made off brands. I'm not a hacker/developer, or strong on the "tech" side of things, so I don't know if this is an awesome idea or not so awesome. For everything they offer, the price is right... and they do seem to be reviewed well, for the most part.
It seems like a great solution to integrate GPS, Torque and really any app you want (Waze, for example) all in one unit. I'm happy with my DashDAQ, and have to play around with Torque to see if I'd be able to live with it as an alternative... and I've gone to the trouble of changing the LEDs in my head unit to match the blue LEDs I've put everywhere else. I even put rubylith over the VFD in there to try and make it match the red-orange color I achieved on my DIC with the same. Problem is, it's washed out worse than ever in daylight (as expected).
Anyway, I'm looking at "Pumpkin" brand Android head units on Amazon. If anyone has real experience with these or others similar, please chime in.
