Hey all! Well, I finally pulled the trigger...I bought myself an Agressive 07 GXP with 20,000 miles on it! Ive been looking for months for the right car and was having such a hard time finding one that met my budget and my desire for a go fast roadster. I went between the GXP, the SRT6 crossfire, and the Miata, searching high and low, test driving everything countless times, racking my brain non stop. Well last night after testing driving ANOTHER miata (not bad little cars, just really lacking in the power department) I was completely down and out. I decided to pull up Autotrader ONE more time for the night and on a whim went back to the GXP. Low and behold a dealership JUST got one in on a trade from a man who bought it as a midlife crisis car. With 20k on the odo and garage kept its whole life, needless to say it is mint. I got to the dealership and the sales people had absolutely NO idea what the GXP was. It had literally been put on the lot that day. they had stock photos as place holders it was so new on the lot haha! As soon as i sat in it it began speaking to me. I was smitten. I took it for an unnecessary test drive and bought it on the spot. I may have broke my budget a bit, but $12,000 is still, i think, a great deal for a pretty much brand new car. Anyways, Im really excited to finally be a part of the Kappa crowd and cant wait to start making Lilo even faster!

Welcome to the forum. Living in Southern Maryland you couldn't be closer to the people that know these cars inside and out. We just need to convince someone to host a mod meet again.

This is the place to ask your go fast questions, chances are someone here has already done it.

Where in SM? Joe the owner of this site is in Lusby. There isn't much he doesn't know about these cars. Oh and you better post pictures before Kelu wakes up in Europe and hits you with the request.

Im down in LaPlata for now. Thats so awesome that there is a kappa crowd around the area!!! I've got a ton of questions lol...I just ordered an engine brace and rear brace from DDM on their xmas sale. I figured they were safe mods for now before i really start messing with the engine! It so clean and so brand new I'm almost afraid to alter her too much....awww who am i kidding I cant wait to get a trifecta tune and slap some on some bolt ons

I'll post some pics when i have some good ones, its been pouring rain here all day :-(

If you're not dead set on a Trifecta tune, I have a "loaner" HP Tuners setup that I loan out to members of the forum so in your spare time, read up on both before choosing.

I'm pretty sure it's bone stock, but I'm hoping to find someone with some in depth knowledge of modding to take a look at it and be sure.

Those wheels look like what Kappasphere was selling back in 2006 or 2007. 19s?

Kappasphere is no longer in business, FWIW, having sold out all remaining stock to DDMworks.

Ask Joe real nice, he probably has 07's on his hptuner's program. At the very least he can download your tune and then you can sent it to DDMWorks and they can check it for you. Dave at DDM is a good man to work with. Joe is DeepBlue

A few questions for the local area Kappa owners:

Are there any local experienced tuners who work on our cars? I was going to get a canned tune as well but meeting up and actually talking to someone is preferable IMO. Also, is anyone in Maryland running a catless downpipe? Any trouble with emissions testing? Trying to decide on what exhaust setup to go with and whether to stay catted or cat-less :-)

Take a picture of the engine bay and post it. That can give us a good idea of any mods.
