2008 Solstice GXP 123k $7500 OREGON
« on: January 11, 2018, 07:39:47 PM »
Well, the wife got pregnant...I'm still trying to figure out how that happened...but unfortunately I'm going to have to let my Solstice go. Here's the info on it (and I know I'll forget something, so bare with me).

2008 GXP
123k miles
5 Speed Manual
Chrome Solstice factory rims
No engine mods done to it
I blacked out the "eye lids"
Leather seats
Has a Kenwood DNX6990HD Head Unit (GPS works great)
Monsoon stereo
Has the dual waterfall cup holders

The bad:
There's a bit of wearing on the driver side top (about 1" long along the seam)
The front passenger side cup holder is broken (surprise, surprise)
The center armrest piece is cracked and there's a slight tear in the "pleather"

If I'm not mistaken, that's about it.

I would be willing to travel to deliver this within reason.

If you don't know how it happened, then it's not yours and you should keep the Solstice.

LOL!!! I wish! I hate to sell it, but seeing as how they don't make a bunk bed car seat, the Solstice just won't work.

Sell the car.  Never look back.

I don't say that because it is a bad car.  I say that because you can alway buy another one.  Get a solid, safe, fun and practical vehicle for the kids.  I recently bought a doggy-wagon that is faster than any stock solstice.  Plus, it holds 4 dogs, groceries, has heated seats, cooled seats (DAMN, cooled seats are amazing) and more.  I do miss the vert from time to time.  Then I push the go pedal and listen to the V8 and forget the vert.

You live in San Diego with constant 70degree temps year-round.  What do YOU care if it has heated/cooled seats?  <slaps forehead>

You've meet GJ right?

Cooled seats are great if your car has been sitting in the sun and the seats are like 900 deg when you get in the car, doesn't matter where you live.

Did I just stick up for GJ?

When I was a kid, I had a 98 Grand Prix GT with heated seats. I moved for a year to Alaska and had to leave my car with my dad for a few months until it was warm enough to drive up to Anchorage...Well, my dad drove my car a few times and apparently accidentally turned on the heated seats. He called me freaking out because he was SO hot in my car but didn't have the heater on at all and had to drive with the windows down just to stay cool...that's when I asked him if the heated seats were on....Geez, talk about funny memories.

Cooled seats are a life changing invention. Though I know way more men that like them vs women.

Cool air blowing on all the hot parts. It’s awesome.
