Topic: I need some opinions, please.

I'm trying to track down the history of my GXP. I had ordered "my" GXP with the Pontiac Dealer where I used to work. I kept going to the (for want of a better description), the nationwide "locator" to see which dealers were getting GXPs. On a lark, I drove past the Pontiac dealer 10 minutes away, and they had a Mean Yellow GXP on the showroom floor. This was a very small dealer (Key Pontiac - Bethlehem, PA. They were asking 5,000 over MSRP. I eventually got them down to MSRP. My car has Black bucket seats with gray only stitching. All the other ones I had seen had the red stitching. Was this common? The last six of my vin  reads 123001.

The stitching was a color option for the buyer if my memory serves my right.

My car has Black bucket seats with gray only stitching. All the other ones I had seen had the red stitching. Was this common?

Mine has the gray stitching too.  I think it was as common as the red.

As I remember the gray sticking was standard on the GXP and the red was a no charge option. I went with the gray.

Standard was black cloth seats on the GXP.  If you added leather seats you had the option of gray or red stitching.  When I get a chance I will post some picks of the brochure the dealers had for the GXP when they first came out.

Why didn't Pontiac go with that front fascia in 2006!?!?

That was the GXP fascia which didn't come out until 07
