WTB AISIN AR-5 Manual transmission.

My transmission was making horrible noises at a young age of 35k miles. I brought it to a shop to rebuild it but GM discontinued some of the bearings and I can’t get them second hand either. Anyone have a transmission for sale? The closer to 35k miles the better. Just want to get my baby back on the road after 4 years of on and off problems. This is the last piece of the puzzle.

It's the same transmission as the first gen Colorados and H3, wonder if it is a case of looking up numbers through that platform.  With the kappa rear differential I read you can find shims if you search under the Cadillac diff part numbers, maybe it's a similar case with the trans on parts.

I'm planning on tearing down my AR5 with synchro issues and have yet to cross this bridge on finding replacement parts  :(

Also, it's an Aisin transmission.  Might you be able get Aisin branded spare parts for it?

Grabbed a used transmission for $750 with 10k miles. Lets see what happens! Fingers crossed!

Finally. After 4 years of on and off my car runs good as new! And it only took a new engine, new turbo, new intercooler, new transmission, new rear end, new control arm, new brakes, new door panel, new shocks, and a new battery. Boy do I love this car..... heh.
