It's not just fuses, it's everything. Have you seen how many web-purchased home outlets, switches, fixtures, lamps, power strips, etc. are non-listed and pretty immediate fire hazards? Have fun explaining that to the underwriter if/when that causes a fire.

As much as I hate box stores, at least their liability provides some level of confidence...however with box stores dropping like flies no telling how long even that strategy will be viable.

It's really getting out of hand. If the Head Cheeto wants to regulate trade, clamping down on counterfeit/unlisted goods would be a great place to start.

"supposed" being the operative word.

There was an electrical fire a while ago locally that was caused by a cheap chinesium power strip being overloaded. The power strip had no fuse, no circuit breaker like they're supposed to, just wired straight. Main breaker didn't see too much current, but the wiring in the power strip sure did...

Amazon.com is part of the problem enabling these products.  Like phone companies that allow robocalling, someone is paying for the service so why stop it if you're making money.

I always buy that stuff in store locally.
I am lucky to have a Napa real close as well as both a Lowes and Home Depot.

Best place to get fuses, is from old scrap cars where they should be the OEM factory fitted fuses in most cases.
