 4 screws  hold the radio in take them out and undo the 2 wire connecters on the back of the radio... DO NOT CUT THESE!!!!! and the ant. then



 then back to the inside of our newly found cave

just shove it all in there and run your mic. w/e you want and your nav ant. wire i put here

Nice and thanks for taking the time to document it. This no doubt will be useful to more than a few members of the forum.
Just trying to do my part...

Mods: Lose the chicklets, VentureShield, Dual horns, AfterShock spoiler, Weathershield cover, Lil Chromies, Red calipers with black Solstice stickers, Opel GT antenna and Solo GXP-RCD exhaust with a Solo hi-flow cat!

i know this is an old thread, but i just got an avic-x710tb installed.  your howto helped (thank you search!) which wires did you move and where to bypass the parking brake?  this head unit looks amazing in the car, as you already know!

i also replaced the the stock 8" sub with a sony slimline 10" that rattles the freaking car!  had to cut the casing a bit and reseal it, but now it's like getting a back massage!
