Just thought i'd post my run. The first run was taken to 7k rpms, the rest were like til 6k, all in 4th gear.
The guy messed up and put MPH on the bottom instead of RPM's. I did my best to make my own lines and I believe these to be pretty accurate but not perfect.
I was disappointed with the hp (i was thinking more like 260), could this be a restriction of my stock gxp exhaust/cat ? DeepBlueGXP's made 285 with his having a Solo exhaust + Solo HF cat advantage on me. It would seem that the Solo exhaust/cat combo yields about 45 whp with Westers Tune. I know it was a different dyno on a different day and even in a different state but I think we can safely say that the exhaust/cat combo are good for anywhere from 30-45whp along with Westers Tune..
I have installed a Solo Performance Street Race exhaust since this dyno but I do not have updated Dyno numbers with the new exhaust

Also, im running on good ol dirty California 91 octane.

Interesting. Here is mine (91 octane, catless downpipe, 800' above sea level, Magnaflow cat back, Wester's tune).

I think you may have missed a bit on the RPM overlay. If not, both of our engines are doing similar things at different RPMs. For instance, my torque/horsepower crossover point is at about 51-5300 rpm, and while we are both showing that odd dip in both torque and horsepower mine is at 2800-3100 rpm while yours is at 3200-3400 rpm. Sure wish I knew what that anomaly is.

You can bet you ass that the stock cat and exhaust is holding back tremendous power. I put my downpipe on the Sky before the tune and it was astonishing with the computer NOT pulling back the torque. Make the exhaust change and HANG ON. After the computer learns it you will be chasing traction !!!!!!!!!

Both you guys have that dip. I asked before, but never got an answer as to what that is from. My uneducated guess is that that's where the turbo spools up into the mid 20's and then the ECM reduces the pressure down to the high teens. Does that sound about right, or is there maybe something else causing the "dip" ?

Can't speak for the turbo's but the N/A's had/have the dip as well, most tuners have taken most of it at. It is the point the cams roll

AH HA !!!!!!!!!!! THAT makes sense.

BTW, looking at the data from my car with HPT there was no dip in boost that related to the power dip.

btw, i have the solo performance street race exhaust on now. It's kinda weird but this car doesnt feel fast to me. It's the fastest car I have ever driven and for some reason I still want more !!!! I have time to get bored while smashing the pedal lol. I think i need to get into top fuel dragsters to satisfy my need for speed

I was there when DeepBlueGXP was on the dyno for a 280 hp run and Scott? had a stock GXP with just the tune, Scott hit 260 but beat us all on the torque with 323. Torque is what gets you down the road. I dyno'd less than Deepblue GXP that day because I had less wastegate mod dialed in (this was back when we were still playing with the wastegate). I have hit 287. The wastegate needs to be very close to stock for the Wester's tune but I believe as every wastegate/turbo is a bit different there is some very fine tweaking that can be done there. If you have an aftermarket intercooler you might be able to add one turn as the charge is cooler and you may not get knock as easily. I am going to try it now that the weather is beginning to warm up. I am at work so I can't see the charts.

As I have told Lyndon, all I know about this stuff is how to use HPTuner to read, copy, and flash. Hand me a carburated engine and I am in my element. Tune a DCOE Weber, I'm there. All this mess with complex ECMs, I'm JUST smart enough to be trouble. I am just relaying info about what my engine is doing and let him e-mail tweaks to me. He got snowed on again so still has installed the GMPP tune, and I am going to get 4-10" of snow tomorrow so a dyno session is not gonna happen. Since my dyno run above I have changed the MagnaFlow front pipe (with the 2.5" neck) to a Solo Performance front pipe and flashed a tweak from Lyndon. In a couple weeks I'll dyno the car again and see what it does.

BTW, what about my comments about you rpm marks?

Westers had me tigthen the wastegate rod to a specific point, but actually that wasnt until AFTER my dyno run.

And about my rpm's that's the best I could come up with since I dont have the actual RPM graph. Yes, the lines should probably be a bit to the left.

I have never adjusted the WG rod, but it is set about five turns our from the factory. Go figure. BTW, when you tweaked your rod (

After i tigthed it to lyndons specific location, I saw my psi jump straight to 25 and hold for over a second, then drop to 21-22 and hold. Before it would only spike to 25 just enough for my eye to see it, then drop to 21-22.

You said this was an Eddy Current Dyno so the numbers you have are about the same as the ones I just did on my car.
My car was Dyno today on an Eddy Current Dyno.

I do not have a Westers tune is just the BTF Upgraded Turbo wheel and the Tune from Randy\DDM from the Orlando session.
The printer from this shop was not working so they let me copy the (.RUN) files but I have no way of printing them.
One thing I can tell you when I looked at the screen is my graph was almost a straight line for the torque from about 2.5K to a little over 5K.

This wasnt on an Eddy Current dyno, it was a Dynojet Model 224x

When my guy did the run he ran it from 2900 RPM @ 60MPH all the way to about 6k in 4th gear.
I was at 300TQ at about 3300 RPM
I was at 275TQ at about 3800 RPM
I was at 240TQ at about 5000 RPM
I was at 220TQ at about 5500 RPM
I was at 200TQ at about 6000 RPM

That means you had about 60 more TQ at 5000 RPM than I did. That's great !

So if I have done the WG Mod and didn't mark the stock location and I get the Wester's tune, Lyndon will show me to adjust it to the proper location?

He asked me if i've ever touched my WG rod and I said NO, it's completely stock.

He said "ok, adjust the nut so there are only X threads visible"

I think Lyndon just wanted it at this specific location because maybe he bases his tunes off of the exact same wastegate rod location. That's the best I can think of. I usually never question what he asks me to do

Yeah, just make sure you let Lyndon know how many threads are showing so he can advise you to tigthen or loosen it.
If you cant tell how many threads there are (I couldnt see that clear), what I did was use a digital camera to take a picture of it really zoomed in and it worked like a charm!

Deep-GXP, I had my turbo shroud off a couple weeks ago and was surprised to see the nut set from the factory 5 turns out. Yours is showing it at 7 turns. It has been posted in many places that the turbos are "flowed", tested, set, and shipped for installation. Wouldn't it be interesting to know what the calibration protocol is. With Lyndon's tune producing what it si on my car, I haven't played with it yet. I get the full 23 psi at the peak and it tapers away to 21 psi at about 37-4000 rpm. Maybe I will try one turn, let it learn, and hook up my laptop to see what has happened.

I was making reference to the RWHP mine was 238 RWHP.
I am having DeepBlueGXP and Randy from DDM take a look at the files.
I did not feel very comfortable with the knowledge of the people running the Dyno and my car.
The parameters he put down were way to close. 4000RPM to 5300RPM.
Also the car although it was strap down would move side ways on the roller when applying a lot of power to do the run.

The printer was broken and there was no print out.
I have given the 4 run files to both Dave(DDM) and Joe(DeepBlueGXP) for them to analyze and also get the graph.
I know now why Lyndon does not want to post the results he gets with this type of Dyno.
The gains are there but the numbers are low compare to a DynoJet and other more popular Dyno's.
