Those look like great shoes, the thing about driving shoes is they are very narrow, there is no apprecable edge on the shoe and the edge that is there is rounded so as not to catch your other foot when shifting, it is just as wide as it needs to be to support your foot. They have thin soles and almost no heel. The bottoms are also almost smooth to alow easy transitions, they make lousy dual purpose shoes for the most part but that's ok with me. I know most people just drive in athetic shoes, I know I did until my son bought me some driving shoes. It was funny last weekend I went on a road ralley with over 100 different types of cars. As we were standing around waiting to order our cheese steaks there was a big discussion on driving shoes, I guess better than 50% of the guys were wearing them, this was a pretty hardcore bunch as we drove 4 hours in the POURING rain as let's say excessives speed's to get a cheese steak, some very nice cars. The best substitute for driving shoes is wrestling shoes if anyone has ever worn those.
Shoes for the track whole different issue they have to be fireproof, and usually have almost zero support.
