It's simple take the speed and multiply by 6, drop the last digit 30 x 6 =180 or 18 mph 110k x 6 = 660 or 66 mph, very close

Yeah it really isn't a big deal. 40 mph is about 60 kph, 30 mph is about 50 kph, 60 mph is about 100 kph.

Close enough...

I grew up with mph and I remember well the day that we switched to the metric system. I can remember the stickers the Canadian government issued that we were to stick on our speedos in our cars that read nothing but mph at the time. I drove a 66 Dodge Coronet at he time and had these little round stickers all over it.

It just would have been nice if they would have put the mph on the speedo so you could read it! I must be gettin' old.

Spent a lot of time in Germany running the autobahn while in the service. Better know the KPH when your gauge is in mph these days. Most of the WOT places are gone and have been replaced by 100 or 120 KPH signs.

After reading about all the problems the stock clamps result in,
I went the same route as Jonymac
I bought that extra elbow with my Dejon Piping and Cai

Out with the old

In with the new

Took it out for a test drive and it held 21 PSI so I know I have everything tightened properly.

Sorry for the fact that the elbow is highly visible but if you look carefully, it is in the first pick.

That's the new sensor from the GMPP Sensor Kit. I've circled both of them

I do have the GMPP LNF Upgrade. It's very fun.

I did forget to post a pic of the throttle body elbow with Silicone Couplers and T-Bolt clamps.
I purchased that at the same time from Dejon.

If you go all the way to the bottom of the page
Under the 2.5" Replacement Throttle body
There is an option for
Optional Silicone Couplers and T-Bolt Clamps (instead of standard) - $36
That will include 2 pieces of Silicone Couplers and 4 T-Bolt Clamps.
Even if you don't replace the rest of your intercooler pipes, I think the $99 for it, plus the $36 for the upgraded connector and clamps is worth every penny. As this topic indicates, it's the source of most peoples loss of boost issues.

Some one who bought the Dejon elbow a very long time ago, bugged and bugged and bugged Dave to sell better hoses and clamps as an add on because he didn't like the ones that came with it and immediately replaced them. Oh wait that was me, see Dave listens if you bug him enough.

Yea it makes it easier when you get them all in one place and you don't have to figure inside diameter or outside diameter, and, and, and, Dave was the one who gave me the info so I could order the replacement hoses in the first place.

Changed my clamps today on the throttle body. The clamps that I got are for transports and although they aren't stainless they probably will never rust as I never drive in the nasty weather anyway.

I will pick up an extra set anyway when I am down in Wilmington for Mecca III.

Check out the size of the springs on these suckers!

I lost boost the other day and went back and re-installed all of my Dejon pipes.

I think I am going to get T-Bolt clamps for the Intercooler connections
Those are the only ones I still have the stock clamps on.

Because I was about to install my tune, I have followed your advices to improve the Throttle Body Elbow and went and made a custom TBE just because I couldn't receive parts sooner than 2-4 weeks from US. Is made from welded stainless steel (I personally inspected the welds on the inside) and has two silicone connectors with most "serious" T-bolts which I could find.

I hope I did correctly. Everything is ok up to now, maybe just because I was making tests to see if it holds I have the feeling that it feels better, the response is a little bit better, or is 100% placebo?[attachment=1]

I haven't been able to get more than 21 PSI since the mod meet, all i changed was putting on tbolt clamps for the elbow and cut the intake resonators. so either it is the airbox or i didn't put the clamps on solid.

the clamp is not lining up with itself on the intake manifold side. i think there may be a leak on that side.

21 psi is not a leak.
If you had a leak you'd be lucky to get 8psi.

Weather makes a difference and we've had weird stuff in the air this past week

That looks awesome. It won't increase performance but it's a weak link where you can loose all your boost due to a leak.
