Yep.  On sale on the Quaife US distributor's site for $995, too.  IS there no end to the madness?

How much of a pain was installation, Yamatr3?  How many shop hours did it take you?

It was about 6 hours total.  3 hrs to take the quaife in and out and 3 hours to set it up.  It might be less time if the set up goes quick.  In order to get the lash and spacing correct, we had to put the bearings in and out 4 times.  If you get lucky, you might get it on the first shot.

This really looks interesting!  Ben, you do realize Yamatr3 has a V8 in his solstice, right?

I did not, but I have put this type of pre-loaded LSD in my Mustang and both Cobras, and they make a huge difference.  They also use helical worm gears instead of clutch plates, and do not wear out.

I can not tell you how much difference this makes for me.  With the stock LSD if you hit it real hard, the back would step out very easily.  I have even done two 360's because of the  back coming around.  With the Quaiffe in, you can hammer it and it doesn't step out as quick (I have not done a 360 with the Quaiffe in it).  IMO, there is a big difference.  Now I will say I am at about 360 hp so it makes a bigger difference for me.  if you have 280, it might not matter as much.  Now If I were Sky888, or anyone in that hp range, I would have one for sure.
