MARKS IN PAINT - PLEASE HELP ASAP
« on: June 06, 2009, 10:36:55 AM »
I know this thread will be worthless without pictures but I can seem to get the problem to appear in images. Here is the problem:

I am detailing my car this morning and I am seeing marks in the paint on the trunk lid. The marks are symmetrical on the top of the humps and in the middle of the trunk. They are oblong measuring about 2 inches wide and 6 inches long. Its a noticeable discoloration in the finish but it is not down into the paint. They are not tacky and they do not feel any different than the rest of the car.

My buddy thinks it came from the film they put on the car to protect it in shipping. He also thinks they have something they use to remove it.

Anyone out there have this on their car or have a suggestion how to remove these marks without damaging the finish?

Thanks in advance!!!

Is it when there is moisture in the air.  The frames inside the trunk and hood tend to change first.  You can clean your car and when the sun comes out, you no longer see that.
