ON STAR

The ON STAR Diagnostics program informed me today that it did not think much of the DashHawk II that is plugged into my Diagnostic port.   :violin:

It doesn't like Aeorforce gauges either.  Or anything else plugged into the OBDII port.  But, so what?  If the CEL doesn't clue someone in that something is wrong, they probably won't understand the email either.

QFT.

The only reason I got it with my car is that it was standard. The insurance discount you get for having it is nice, but I'd rather have GM not spying on whatever I'm doing with my car.

I think at least some parts of On Star are a great idea, I don't need them monitoring my engine, but I wouldn't mind them checking on me if I got in a crash. It is just to dang expensive. If they had a crash monitor only feature I would sign back up in a minute. The hands free phone was nice but not loud enough, and needs to just link to my cell I don't need any more phone numbers.
