« on: June 25, 2009, 07:40:38 PM »
O'Reilly auto parts store has a special going on where you get 5 qts of Royal Purple motor oil and a K&N oil filter for $39.99 from June 24-July14.
Should save you around $15.

That is a good deal. I really like the K&N filter, and only run RP.

That's the air filter, I knew that didn't look right. It's an HP-7000, it does not show as fitting our car but shows as fitting the Cobalt and is what is in my car. I get them from Amazon usually.

Well there's a catch for our vehicles and the filter is a special order filter and the special does not apply to special order items.

That seems odd as the HP-7000 is a very common filter, used on almost all ecotec motors, It just doesn't say it works on the GXP in the K&N table yet, not sure why. I am on my 4th one with no issues it looks just like the older Bosch filter before it became a Purolater. Thanks for the tip any way.
