Topic: DashHawk Misfire Display ?

I have the DH set up to display Historic Misfires in Cyl 1-4 and the Total misfires.  I was flipping through the screens for the current DH cycle and the DH listed 1 total misfire but when I went to the screen for the Historical Misfires it listed 0 for all four whats up?
Of course when you close out the current cycle it re-zero's everything so it can't be from a previous cycle and I didn't have it setup to log it so no log record.

Some PIDs are just temporary placeholders that are cleared after (X) many key starts. 

Some are Historical and only get cleared with commands via OBD port.

The DH only displays what it reads from the ECU.

I have seen Misfires >1, but never had any end up in History.

I was thinking.....can a misfire be so light and for such a short period of time that the misfire will not be logged on the Historic misfire but on the ECU and then clear after a minute?  Seems like you may have answered that ? for me already.
Also I thinking if I switch the screen to the Actual misfire screen instead of the Historic misfire screen if the mis will show up?

I used to run the same screens.   I think I remember seeing the same behavior at times, but on a few occasions my historic misfires on cylinder #4 would go way up - that's been a bit of an issue with me at times, and real to be sure, you can feel it.  Wish that my new setup (Rev and an iPod touch) would read misfires, but that's not supported, not yet anyway.

I wanted to see if my vehicle 07 GXP has any tendency to mis since I have the stock Colder plugs so Ive been playing around with the screens for Msifires and Knock retard.  Ive never really noticed any but just wanted to see what the DH would say and not really a big deal since Im still stock.
Well I changed the screens to the real time misfire and I was correct in my thinking that in that screen it will display the misfire but it must be ever so slight that it doesnt stay for long and is not captured in the Historic misfire screen.  Mine seems to ever so slightly mis on Cyl 2 once or twice when I drive and I cant feel it so not a problem at all.
