Home page issues...
« on: July 15, 2009, 06:17:50 PM »
Anyone else experiencing this?

I usually use the home page here to read all the new posts. Lately it's been kinda flaky though...sometimes a post I've already read will show up as "new" again, and some new posts don't have the "new" icon next to them. It's done this on two separate computers, My XP/IE 6.X work PC, and my Mac at home.

I use the "New posts" page rather than teh home page.

I use homepage over 50 times a day, works flawless for me even this forum doesn't want to keep me logged in when I return on 2 different computers on XP/Firefox.

.sometimes a post I've already read will show up as "new" again,
Check about "modified" posts. I edit my messages many times after I post the reply.

Home page works for me.  I thought I was not being logged in (have Firefox), but as soon as I clicked on a thread, I was logged in.  A little odd but I don't manually log in anymore.

Re-save your bookmark once you are logged in, that will fix it.  I'm not sure why sometimes the New icon is missing.  I say this thread as one to check on and read a different topic first.  Then I couldn't find this one on the New Posts click.  I had to return to Home to see it on the list.  I use IE6 at work, and this is the only computer I see the problems on.  I use FF3 at home with no issues.

I didn't see it on my Mac last night either, but then again there was a Safari update a few days ago.

I'll re-save the bookmark and see what happens.
