These photo instructions are incredible! This is a great tutorial. I can't wait to see the next chapter!

You don't have to redo the stereo after you install this stuff. I did it this weekend at the mod meet and the stereo sounds five times better now...everything is real tight and it plays a lot louder!!!

I did redo my stereo and it makes a HUGE difference with the deadener, even more than with the stock system, just look at the Lessons learned for some tips on what to do to avoid some of the mistakes I made. The big thing is get 2 ohm door speakers if you upgrade, and for now Infinity is one of the few companies that sell them. Put some bass blockers on the rear speakers be the best $10 you can spend on your stereo even with the stock system this is worth it.

I was getting ready to leave for work today and had to run back in the house to get something, my car was running and the stereo was at club volume playing some music with heavy bass, I came back outside and could barely hear the stereo outside the car. Inside it was BUMPIN' this shows how well the dampening works the music stays in the car!

Just out of curiosity, anybody done a coupe? Just wondering if there are any differences to the back wall, and about the trunk area...

The difference is huge, I have no idea what it will be top down been to cold but it is like riding in a different car with the top up.

Steve I helped brian putting his trunk back in You have to place thr rear in 1st pull in 1 side to the hump than the other side . then work it all the way back and then work the sides in raise the drain and work it down around the hump 1st one sise then the other After we got it in Brian got in the trunk and did the foot stomp to work it around then got the drains bask in place . Wow its a Job just telling how to do it .. also check with brian in case I left something out. Bobby

File sizes are limited (<1meg) and if you try to post too many photos at once, the forum software just blanks out. It's part of the limitations of the software. I usually attempt one or two photos at a time and then modify the post adding more.

I can't imagine that the wall behind the seats is any different on the coupe than the vert...
Be interesting to see how the trunk comes apart... I have some LEDs I want to put in as well.

It's probably around 60. It is made up of anti-vibration panels, closed cell foam, and a think vinyl. Also, there is a small amount of thin sheet metal in the doors to cover the huge holes. It is DEFINITELY worth it. When you see what GM has in there for sound deadening, and how easily it comes out using only your hands to pull on it, you will realize how worth it the mod is.

I like mine better and better everyday, with the top up and windows up it is surprisingly quiet, on the rare occasions that I don't have the stereo at full volume. I did a bit of a hack job putting a 10" sub in place of the stock one, now I know how to do it and could make it pretty, and much easier. I may buy another sub box and redo it this winter but with the dampening it sounds fantastic! Even my son who has $4000 system in his truck was impressed, we are going to do the Don treatment on his truck this winter, and his GTO and my truck, trying to figure out how to do the Harley?
