Two years ago, my turbo motor blew in my car.  It was  due to a rocker failing.   I researched rebuilding the motor and at that time, I was thinking of using aftermarket rockers.  There was one company building them them.  They were listed in the GM Performance build book,  I called them and a set of rockers was $3000.  A little too rich for my blood.

Dave could speak on this more but they have a test fit mule engine thanks to Yamatr3

The stage III uses 60# injectors.  No cam or header work but there is stuff planned.  I got to see all the goodies.

You know I haven't had a chance to look at the boost gauge since I upgraded to the Stage III, at stage II I was seeing 8.5-8.7 lbs of boost.  I have been told I should see 10-12 lbs, depending on atmospherics.   I haven't driven it since I got home due to the weather, with the heavier clutch wet roads are going to be a bear.

I will get some miles on it here in the near future and might actually get a chance to take my eyes off the road long enough to glance at the gauge.  1st and 2nd gear, don't allow you the option of doing anything but concentrating on keeping the car going in the direction you planned on.

Is there plans for adding a turbo to the S/C, as ZZPerformance has done on their Cobalt? Every time I stop in there, they try to talk me into adding a turbo kit to my L67.

I usually see around 7.6 measured at the manifold.

Air to air.

I believe stage I and II are 45lbs injectors. Moving to 60lbs for stage III.

mp62. Ported inlet on stage III from what I hear.

Pulley size? I forget, 2" maybe :idk:.

Stock head.

Stock ECM with DDM flash controlling timing/knock retard.

Different plugs. I would have to look to tell you what.

There's a couple more questions answered :cheers:.

I can't tell you how much I enjoy this thing. The snow has melted. The sand and dirt are pretty well washed off the roads. I've been driving it like I stole it. Had my worst gas mileage run ever commuting back and forth to work this week :cool:. I think I'm trying to figure out if I really need/want to go to stage III.

I should know more tonight if it doesn't rain, the track has opened :)  I have seen 13.6 around 5k at about 4/5th throttle in 1st.  I am just above sea level where I live.  Local track is at 20' elevation.

You can rest assured that to run 13.6 psig you have to take timing out, or else you would be having huge problems with KR.  Even at 5 psig you have to take a little timing out depending on the ambient conditions and the efficiency of the intercooler.  That being said, the LE5 only runs about 24 degrees of advance at high rpm WOT from the factory, indicating an efficient combustion chamber.

At the track I glanced at the gauge twice in third gear (no time in 1st or 2nd) and I was seing 14.6-7 lbs.   I don't even try to read the dash hawk for any thing going down the track, In fact I don't look at much but the track,

I remember seeing a pic of a show car somewhere (a couple of years ago) that had a s/c on the drivers's side and turbo on the GXP side.  I do not remember if it was before the GXP came out, or even if it was a 2.0 or 2.4....

I may be running the oldest (only?) Stage 1 DDM out there.   Still thoroughly enjoy it (~35K mi. on s/c) and mileage consistantly 27.5 to 28.6 mpg!

The clampped on rubber? hoses on the intake / IC pipes, just for added flexibility?  Is there so much movement that a single piece of pipe doesn't work?  Or am I missing something?
