They have a programer and tune for our Kappas, its like the BSR only you have some tuning control like the shift points on the auto and the speed of shift. I have it setup on the wife's turbo/auto it give me 22lb, no codes and 31MPG I have not had it dynoed they said 26hp and 30fp I think. It also stores you OEM tune so you can go back...It reads codes and resets them. also has performance 0-60, 1/4, and read and display's pips and stores this so you can dirve then down load to your computer. very nice set up for 379.....seal9

When my 2008 GXP was stock I had this, it was REALLY great. Bumped up my boost in a usable range, made the car lots of fun. Then I got a new RCD Solo exhaust and it wasn't as much fun. The boost went back to stock and I hated it. That's why I switched to a Westers tune. Not saying it's not a great product, for ease of use and butt dyno results, it was a good deal. Just didn't give me the thrills I wanted when I moded the car.

Luckily I was able to sell it and the fellow used it on his other GM product. And he loves it, and had no problems. It works on multiple cars, it doesn't save the VIN and restrict you to that car. If you want to use it on a different car you just reinstall your stock tune, and tune a new car. The catch is, it will only tune one car at a time. Any GM car.

The Superchips box works quite well and has alot of respect around the different forums.  However, it is mainly designed to work with very light modifications like new air filter, or cold air intakes etc.  Over on the G8 forum, many people have used the Superchips controller and received excellent results.  However, if you have heavy mods, like large turbo wheel, full exhaust, intercooler, it will not work as well.  For those, you need to go to Westers as he has tunes for just about every mod.

Hey guy's thanks for stopping by with your inquiries and warm welcomes!

Yes, our product is an emissions legal programmer capable of producing improved performance and drivability to your 07-09 Solstice GXP-Sky Redline, 08-09 Cobalt SS, or 08-09 HHR SS equipped with the 2.0L turbo engine.

Here are some power numbers associated with the product for each model listed:

- The Solstice GXP and Sky Redline gained +24 RWHP and 23 RWTQ with an auto trans and +28 RWHP and +43 RWTQ with the manual trans.

- The Cobalt SS gained +40 RWHP and +53 RWTQ

- The HHR SS gained +48 RWHP and +55 RWTQ with an auto trans and an impressive +61 RWHP and +80 RWTQ with a manual trans

The product works well with under drive pulleys, upgraded intercoolers, the usual CAI, and catback kits commonly added to these vehicles.

The product isn't just about performance. We offer several additional options to sweeten the deal like Shift point and firmness fine tuning, rev and speed limiter adjustments, DTC trouble code tool, and our advanced data acquisition software allowing the user to record up to 3 0-60 and 1/4 mile times in stage one and in stage two you get real time data sensor feedback that you can monitor and record to your PC through our internet update software.

We currently offer two programmer models: Cortex and Flashpaq

Both programmers offer best in class performance and options listed above, are plug and play devices that are internet updateable to keep you up to speed with all Superchips and OEM updates. The cortex goes one step further by including a 2 year powertrain warranty for vehicles with less than 100K miles.

If you have any specific questions for me on the product or Superchips in general let me know.

Is that the only difference between the two?

It all depends on if you want the additional powertrain warranty along with the tuning or not. You can save a few bucks with the Flashpaq over the Cortex if you don't care about the powertrain warranty.

Both offer the same best in class tuning and options so you can't go wrong either way.

I spoke with the engineer this morning and he told me that we have not tested the product in a vehicle with hi flow cats before. He did say however that it should work fine if the back pressure reduction over stock cats does not go low enough to start adding boost to the equation.

Start by data logging your fuel trims with the advanced data acquisition software in the programmer. Fuel trims should be mid 12's. Luckily your vehicle is equipped with wide band O2's so data logging is that much easier.

If for some reason the product will not work with your combo for some reason or other you are not stuck with the product. We offer a risk free 30 day money back guarantee so you have nothing to loose by trying it.

The powertrain warranty is world wide, so no matter where you are you're covered.

that was supposed to be  "w" to mean, "now" among my top three and I just fixed the post, thanx for pointing it out to me

sorry bout that typo, this product and company looks to me like they are the only tuners willing to back their product

I need to make certain, this warrantee includes parts and labor performed at gm or the mechanic superchips chooses?
