I like how American made vehicles dominated the best category while Japanese made had the worst category all wrapped up.  GM also had the most showing for the Americans. :us2:

Wow, my Sky is only $1100 a year. Or was. Then again, if you're in the city that might make sense.

After being a customer for 2.5 years with 0 damages for a big company in my country (Allianz) when I bought my GT I went back to them and ask for a quote for full insurance, they gave me same standard price, asked them about discount (no discounts in those 2.5 years for 0 damages also) and the BS me and gave up on doing a full insurance.

I'm having only a compulsory insurance ($150/year) and already saved over $1000 in 6 months since I have my car.

I consider is their loose, now this top makes it more clear.

New Jersey, 28, Close to NYC, Drive 0 miles to work everyday. Allstate, driving record relatively clean.

I'll be switching soon, just haven't had time to compare all the rates.

Kind of depends on what state you live.  The Central belt states a few years back were actually had the cheapest Insurance rates with Ok being the lowest.  Mines actually less than $800 a year but I have a group rate through my work with tons of discounts that saves me about $400 a year.

Interesting thread Joe, thanks for posting it.  We have been happy with our coverage over the years even though ours went up after my accident taking out a Ford F-150 truck and my 1995 Firebird Formula several years ago which caused me to retire 4 months early.  But Travelers has been good to us since.  It helps to have the entire package with one company I have found.  Anyway, back to topic.  We have full coverage on three vehicles $1,000 deductible Collision:

2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP:  $646.00 per year
2000 Lincoln Navigator:       $528.00 per year
1998 Mercury Villager:         $448.00 Per year

So we pay $1622.00 for all three.  Not to bad.

We pay $695/year with a $240 deductable for our 08 GXP. Actually much lower since we go to just fire and theft for winter storage.

I wish i could do pay as you drive. Since I don't commute, but those things put GPS in your car and monitor your speeds... So that certainly won't work for me :)

My dad had an '89 Bronco II. Garage kept it's entire life, no rust, excellent condition all around. My dad was the second owner.

It caught fire and burnt to a crisp in the front yard a year or so after he bought it.
