Where to purchase lens overlays?
« on: October 30, 2009, 05:57:44 PM »
I purchased tint film overlays for my headlights and taillights ffom CarCustomZ.  I took them today to a professional installer and he was unable to apply them.   This film is different than window tint as this film stretches to follow the contour of different lens.  These kits would not stretch at all.  I have been researching and found complaints about CarCustomZ.
For those of you that have purchased kits and were successful, would you please tell me where to purchase these.  If  you want, PM me.

I bought some Film also. The instructions show that to get it to streach, you have to use a Heat Source..Hair Dryer or Hoter. Then work it slowley with a smoth edge. Hope this helps

I don't know what brand is that film from CarCustomZ, I did my stop lights with film too. Initially a semi-pro guy came to install it, he ruined 2 and didn't managed to have it installed properly, the film is pretty thick.
Then a real pro guy came and have it installed in 10 minutes each using a hoter.

Kelu:

I have a lot of respect and admiration for your efforts to communicate in English.  You do very well.  Keep up with your efforts and please try to understand sometimes we may need clarification (like DeepBlueGXP above) to properly respond.

Frank: I'm sure we get understood each other, technical specific things needs clarifications all the time to be sure, I notice that is not just about the language ;) Communicating with you guys is the easiest thing, where we have a pain is that EVERYTHING has different measurement systems, except time and hp everything we need to convert ( tq, boost, temperature, distance, speed, etc).

Back to topic now, kappabarber I have planned for this Saturday to remove the films and do the stoplights with spray (I'm aiming something like elff's) but I wasn't able, don't know exactly to tell when I will have them sprayed to make an idea the different results.
