Topic: I got air today

I was cruising through the back roads of Virginia today, and I was rolling pretty quick, the car was running well I crested a hill at about 75 and the car came completely off the ground, scared the crap out of me. I came down and the traction control was very upset, it about put me in the ditch but the car behaved well other than that, I just kept my foot in it and the car straightened out and I went happily down the road. I don't want to do that again but was impressed with the car none the less. If I had had the traction control off like I usually do, I think the car would have just taken it in stride and kept on rolling. I think moght be be similar to something that happened to Critter on a run a few weeks back, feels very odd when the suspension unloads suddenly.

For a second there I thought that this was going to be another thread on nitrogen filled tires.  Instead it turned out to be more like the Dukes of Hazard.  If your car does go airborne again you need to get a horn that plays Dixie and get someone to do a voice over like Waylen.  You could start a whole new thread on what "Waylen" would say.

The first time he got air, I was trying to follow him and that was not possible.  There were two groups, his was going about 100 on back road twisties.

I was a chicken, but they blew by the turn.

Sounds fun...except the only thing around me that calls for air is when my car hits a famous Long Island, NY pothole.  I really catch air with those, along with having to refill the flat tire LOL.

The first time I did it (just the front tires) was with DarkTech in the car over by Chuckdoc's house during his road rally.  For some reason, we finished about 30-40 minutes before everyone else and DarkTech needed a minute before he could get out of the car.....

For the last Dukes of Hazard movie I would have to learn to speak with a New Zealand accent. Our ol buddy and Solstice driver Rhys Millen was the driver of the General Lee in the Movie, and he will be in can you believe it Dukes of Hazard II. I wonder if someone could sew a confederate flag on my top.

I was on one of the roads we went on that day Chuck, one of the first ones, Waterfall Road. It scared the crap out of me.

There was another one released to DVD in 2007 The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning.     I know this because it was on TV last night over here.  Unfortunately, I watched the whole movie!

I saw that one too, actually that came before the other one and was a made for TV movie, much to my regret on both, " I think I got something stuck in my undacarriage". Rhys did the one with Jessica " Why do they call it Chicken of the Sea if it's Tuna?" Simpson, and there is a sequel coming! He did the Herbie the Love Bug movie with Linsay Lohan too!

Nope, it was released on DVD in 2007, filmed in 2006 and definitely wasn't made for TV with the language and very (unfortunately) brief nudity. It had April Scott [] as Daisy Duke and Trishelle Cannatella (MTV's The Real World and the Surreal Life) [ better than a ] playing a lesser role.


The Dukes of Hazzard movie with Jessica Simpson as Daisy Duke was released in 2005.

Willie Nelson did, however, play Uncle Jessie in both movies...

Well I saw it on TV, I never heard of it in the theaters, I saw on cable and it sucked, of course so did the other one.

I don't think I came completely off the ground, but I definately unloaded the suspension, going into a turn.   It is a freaky experience.

I have to be cafrefull with air, since I trashed her Solstice, wife gets upset about air.
She gets reall upset when I tell her it's just a paper mill and we need to go faster to get fresh air.
