yeap no more surge.
only in 5th gear i get some instantly, but this should be eliminated when we reduce the boost

I wonder if that is because of the atmospheric conditions where you live Arabas.
SImilar to how people in Colorado run higher boost to get the same HP as people in lower altitudes.
maybe it has something to do with the atmospheric conditions elff.. i saw this boost at 300m altitude (real close to sea level) with temps from 4C to 16C.
my guess is that this has to do with the unlimited boost feature of my tune and the possibilities of the upgraded wheel.
my guess is that with so much boost, LPFP (or maybe the HPFP) couldn't deliver so much gas at that given time with 33PSI boost, that's why it went safe and into limp mode.
IMHO though this is impressive (it was quite an experience), is faulty and needs to get fixed, i mean limit the max boost up to 27PSI

Holy cow, you've got two cars without an engine or a front end!

Cool effect! Hope my eyes don't stay cross eyed like this.

ITS ALIVE!! 2008 engine with only 8000 miles from Performance Autowerks. Taking a break to cool down engine to continue purging air from cooling system. All seems ok...so far. DIY engine swap not recommended for the faint of heart, well not on jackstands anyway!

After 4-5 days of below freezing temps today I started my GT and drove it to work, I didn't thought my battery will work but it did. The Michelins PS2 acted very good on cold and few snow, far better than oem Bridgestones Potenza RE050A PP.

Blowby from failed piston or rings sucking out enough oil within 20 highway miles to take out oil pressure to the timing chain tensioner. Compression at #4 40 lbs. Removed cam solenoids to find lots of aluminum shavings. Had been barking up the wrong tree having purchased a turbo suspecting my oil consumption was seal related. Failed while waiting on gskts pcv valve etc. Had been hearing tuned cobalts were having issues in Texas heat. Never thought to check compression since it was still running fine with no codes.

I blame it on my driving style or just luck of the draw??
the gasoline from Texas?-- sounds like a cop-out. Took it for a hood less drive, felt good to drop into the lotus seats again. May be a while before I get the balls to swap computers again!! Well a week or two anyway. Arabas  they made me a deal I could not refuse-- $2500. US I'd love to get a spare or two. It broke my heart to drop it in without putting in some coated Wisco pistons & coating the cyl. head. Or replacing the clutch etc. since it was out anyway. Oh well. Hope fully I'll have a POS '88 celica convertible beatermobile for sale soon if I don't destroy it also yuk yuk. Will throw in extra duct tape bailing wire & nylon cording!!

Nope this was it. Maybe I will after I do some forensic engineering on the original engine. For now the cause is strictly speculation. With the intake off, looking at the back of the valves made me want to puke. All the plugs looked great except #4.
Can't wait to put the hood back on. Then her first bath in months----thinking of starting out with 00 steel wool & working my way down from there.
