I was waiting for the Marvin the Martian ending.

Where's the Kaboom, theres supposed to be an earth shattering Kaboom.

Glad that had a different ending.

This all happened after wasting an afternoon driving 76 miles because some stupid receptionist was told to call me to come in with two forms of ID because there was no I 9 on file for me. It was in the friggin personnel file  :gaah: another woman had the file on her desk  :gaah:

The reason there was no KABOOM, was I didn't have freaking grenade to shove up their Martian  :slap:

Only thing that keeps me sane is clean floor mats and an interior that don't smell like :censor:

Sunday Pat and I took Rogue to a local POCI gathering at a Quaker Steak and Lube in town. It was a total ego trip watching all those 67-71 TransAm and GTO owners drooling over our car. Remind me again...why is it we buy these cars?   :)

Because they are chick magnets?
Because they have beautiful interiors?
Because Pontiac will be around forever?

Just kidding!  The truth is, I have a kappa, and I still drool over Rouge.

Yesterday, after I got home I got a text from Randy, he was in town on business.  So I dropped the top again, and drove to his hotel in Landover.  We then drove to Harbor Place for dinner.  Steak at the Cadilac Ranch.  Took Randy back to his hotel and then on to home.  On the way as I went onto RT 3 past Bowie the temp dropped 15 degrees in 3 miles.  Heat seater on the rest of the way home.

Today I drove the truck.  Some nasty weather during the course of the day.

You know what I’ve discovered, owning two Solstice's means I have to spend double the money.  Maybe I could find a sugar mama   Naw, I'm so friggin old even even a blind cougar wouldn't look at me :cryin:
1.   Ordered a pair of black headlights from Crate Engine Depot (ouch), and Kappasphere interior storage package.
2.   Went to Autozone and picked up a cheap steering wheel cover, seat covers, black metal frame and tinted license cover (let's see how long it takes me to get pulled over for that).
3.   Received my Raggtop cleaner/protector kit and several Griotsgarage cleaning products.  (With all the stuff I’ve bought from them I think I could almost open up a detailing business on the side).

BTW, we NEED a separate search feature for this thread.

Maybe one of the moderators could pull all of the "how to do what I did" leaving a this is what I did.  The how to portions could be in the DYI section.  I know you guys have nothing better to do, Sly Bob is still snowed in, and probably has plenty of time on his hands  :poke:

today a GT forum member came by my house (never have met him in person, only exchange some pm's with him). he had just ordered the trifecta budget tune and normally he couldn't wait 2 weeks for his cable to arrive. so i was happy to let him use my cable!

always nice to see a kappa owner's expression first time he wots with a tune!!!

i bet when Vince started tuning the LNF, never thought he would be so popular in a small country called Greece :)

What a great story. The kappa community is wonderful the way all the members reach out to each other. The world really does seem to be getting smaller and smaller. Thanks for sharing that one with us.

Took a drive down to Punta Gorda with Marcs Carbon Flash and ASETech67 to meet 1lilndn at Muscle Car City Museum. Spent a couple of hours walking around talking and taking pictures. Had lunch at the place there, almost lime an old diner. Finally had to leave Bobby and head back home. 1 1/2 hours drive each way (check the mileage).  :drive:

Went to talk to the powder coater about a custom graphic on my turbo cover. I should have it the first of the week along with my new wheels in a darker gunmetal. Glossy or semi-gloss? I'll know by the weekend after I look at another sample.

This is SO gonna have it's own thread...  :D

The wheels and the turbo cover will be on the car by then but I'm not sure if I'm gonna have my recessed grills re installed by then.

I had to take the grills out during the winter to get them repainted. I want to get the Ventureshield put back on them before I put them in the car again. Getting that done before the meet's gonna be close.

I called Norm to find out about my rear diffuser. He had told me before that it would ship last Saturday. Well, it didn't, he didn't ship it until today. :gaah: Then he tells me that it was shipped USPS, so there is no real tracking of any kind. (I know, I worked for them for too many years.) They post when it's first shipped and after it is delivered. Now I will have to wait for another week, I know how slow they are. :)

Within the US 48 states USPS does do tracking, IF you pay for it. I do it on occasion for large orders.
