Solstice (Jazz) for the Garmin
« on: December 17, 2009, 10:13:08 PM »
Looking for a Solstice image for your Garmin GPS? You can download one here.

http://www.vehiclesforgarminnuvi.com/

Click on "Transformers" at the right, click on Jazz on the bottom of the screen and click download. You can upload it to the Garmin where you will put it with the rest of the vehicles.

Works great as I put it on my 650 tonight. Enjoy!

Joe I had my Garman pluged in but it needs a card to download on ?  If not I'll have to take it out and Check.

When you plug the Garmin into your computer, browse to the *.srf files which are the image files for the vehicles on the unit. You should find them in the Garmin/vehicle folder. You have to copy the file above into the same folder as the other files, after you unzip it, in order for the Garmin to recognize it. After you unplug it and restart the Garmin, you will find the Solstice with the rest of the vehicles.

Don't put it on the SD card, it won't work.

Turn on the Garmin and change the car to the Jazz Solstice in the menus. If all Garmins are the same, click on the wrench in settings, on "Map" and beside "Vehicle" click change. The Jazz Solstice was the last vehicle on the list in my unit but that may be because I renamed the file to Solstice.srf on my Garmin. Be sure to save the changes that you make or the changes won't be saved when you view the maps.
