Everyone,

A very close friend of mine had a family member pass away a month back. The gent who passes was an avid machinist / mechanic - you name it, planes, motorcycles, cars... (He had 2 SSR's and a Z06 in his fleet, sorry, but they are gone). We have so many tools we don't know what to do with them. We are in the midst of a two day yard sale, but if any of you have some need for something, let me know and I will see if it is here! We have things like micrometers, clutch alignment tools, gear pullers and about 1500 screw drivers of various types. Drum brake tools... too much to list. We also have 3 compressors, 5 cordless drills, 6 elec drills... this guy was a collector of tools. There is a lot more we have not even found yet in the 5 storage sheds he had.

I know this opens me up to a lot of questions and I will do my best to answer quickly. Prices will be near free for you all, but you pay shipping. Preference would go to folks who would want to use it rather than sell for profit, not that I would have any way of knowing.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your close friend's family member, GJ. I have a compressor, but few air tools to go with it as yet. If you come across air ratchets, impacts, etc. and whoever buys the compressors doesn't want them included, let me know.

Yeah, we had 5 to start. We have two left. They are off brand (ultra steel) but are basically new in box. $10 plus shipping.
We do have a New In Box Bosch combo kit with cd/radio, cordless drill and light, but it is 14.4V. $130 plus shipping if anybody wants it. (was $320 when new, but I don't know how old it is.

also - just found a really nice Dremel scroll saw. near perfect condition. as well as rockwell/delta table saw - a bit of a beast, but a real beauty.

Very sorry to hear....

I'm starting to build my tool collection, and I'm pretty new to working on my own cars... I'd be interested in some basics:

torque wrench
cordless drill, especially an impact one that can do lugnuts

a good tire filler with accurate PSI guage
hex sockets
torx sockets
compressor, depending on how large it is
basic air tools

I have a friend who has been looking for a welder if you have anything like that

since I am just starting to build my collection, anything that is "standard" i probably don't have. I can't even think of what I might need since i'm such a newb lol but i'm getting into racing so stuff you think might be helpful and you gotta get rid of...

We have a Kennedey roll around tool chest. It is a 3 piece unit that is absolutely beautiful. We checked google, just the bottom piece is 750 bucks. I could fill it with all the starter tools you could ever use. I don't know how you would get it to NJ, but you could probably rent a truck, dirve both ways and still spend less than buying this stuff new.

1 Gallon Senco
4 Gallon Husky pancake
6 gallon Speedaire (old, but a beast! This thing might power an entire shop!)

That's OK just trying to help you get rid of stuff .didn't really need it but for 30 figured always good for spare I do a lot of sheet metal duct work run screws

I know there was a micrometer or two, a few pairs of calipers (standard, not digital) some blueprint rulers.

Actually I have a set of mics and some calipers, was more interested to see if he had any depth or linear height gages, bore gages that sort of thing. Give me some specifics on the mics like size and make please.

I can only find one right now:

Fowler 0-1" with graduation of 0.0001"

There may be more of what you are looking for. We will be opening more of the storage units over the next few weeks as time allows.

The calipers we fowler as well, can find them right now, but the were fairly standard from what I know of calipers.

I would not mind a tap and die set, I am missing several pieces of mine, inherited it that way from my Dad, I actually think I have pieces from about 3 different sets. I also love broken Craftsman tools, just love taking them to the guys and making them give me new ones.
