FYI, 09's sky and sols don't have cupholders as LiquidPT said and I've had my 09 apart, it's a blank off plate.  You can install the switches in the plate or find someother place to install them and purchase the cupholders from and 08 and install them.

Holy crap its cold outside today.

Ask and you shall receive, I just ran outside and snapped a picture with my iPhone.
I tried to mount these as low as possible to keep them away from the bottom of the cup holder.
The camera angle and glare isn't great, but they were measured and are equidistant
I verified this morning that a full cup of coffee does not hit the switches.

I was not going to ruin the leather work JPM did for me, so that was why I chose one of the remaining Plastic locations.

Thanks for the pic. Sorry that you had to get cold to take it. Great work!

Passenger side in front of the console cover below the gear shift ring, it was the thickness that was the issue. I had to dent the trans hump to make it fit after I drilled the hole. It is however very convenient, now where to put the one for the passenger. I will most likely hook up the existing switch to the passenger side and add a new one on the other side for the driver, easy just swap the cables.

Ohhh, right!  That's exactly where I wanted to put mine, but saw there was no room beneath.  Didn't think of doing GBH to the car to get them in.

Well I got my kits today.  Now I have to decide where to put the switches, and whether or not to wait 'til the mod meet to install them.

My cold butt would like them sooner rather than later, but I'm still leaning on waiting for expert help.....

Got mine today too.  They sure don't give you much wire to work with!  Will be picking up some more wire and connectors to do the install this weekend.

I didn't order any fuse pigtails.......can I buy one (or two) at an autoparts store or should I submit another order?

Also, do you think I'll need extra wiring/connectors?

Finally, any issue with cloth seats on a 2007 GXP?  I seem to remember at the last mod meet, someone put a cloth seat on pretty simply (at least on the bottom), he wanted it to reduce sliding for autoX.   If that's the case, will these go under the stock cloth seats OK?

Now that y'all have your seat heaters.  Would someone mind taking pictures and posting of the individual components?

I drew power from the fuse panel in the passenger foot well, put my switches in the centre stack below the radio (I have a Sky), and ran my wiring along the transmission tunnel.  I definitely had extra length running it my way.

I used one of dem dere fuse piggy back thingamabobbers for my power as well.
I ran my wires under the armrest on top of the transmission tunnel and tapped into Fuse location 20 in the passenger footwell.

That is listed as a Spare and is tied to the ignition.

Silly boy.  You can't do that - you'll be banging your head on the roof  (at least, until the seat foam melts through the belly pan).

I am doing mine this weekend, John... along with my gauge faces.  Might be better off if I sort out the what's what on my car first, THEN do yours on Sunday (or Monday if you're off too).  That way I can learn from my mistakes on MY car this time, then apply what I learn to YOUR car (unlike your gauge install  :poke:

DickW, I'm sure someone can accomodate you at the mod meet.  I work for beer... $100 is ALOT of beer!  Chances are I'll get it done for less.  Just take care of the HOST of the mod meet.
