Topic: Your location in your profile

We have lots of new members lately and although I haven't welcomed everyone individually we are all glad that you could join us on the best Kappa related forum on the 'net.

Please take the a minute of your time to go to the profile page and update your information, particularly your "Location". It helps everyone to share information if we know where you are from. After putting this information in your profile it will show up in all your posts under your signature. It really helps us all.

Go to "Profile" at the top of the window and then "Forum Profile Information" to the left. The "Location" is about 1/3 of the way down the page.

Bob: the link is personalized, we can't access it because is towards your profile page.
The location will appear under username, not under signature.

And yes, this is a very useful info which can be helpful in many situations. Thank you for reminding this.

Bob when you click on that link you postedit gives you this

You are not permitted to modify profile settings.

  Is there any way to know what number the Member is Or is there such a thing ? I was ask that a while back and didn;t know

I'm not aware of a way although Joe might chime in on this one. I know that if you go to the member list, you can see when a user registered and you can sort them by date (at least mods can) but I'm not aware of a place to find a number.

On one of your own postings, on the left if you pass your mouse over your user name (or anyone else) you will see your member number.  It'll be the last number in the link.

Joe the only thing that comes up is ( View profile of 1 LIL NDN ) Nothing else all the way down except small square with dot in Center

At the bottom of your browser window, you will see a URL. It's the same in Firefox or IE. On a Windows machine it will directly above your "Start" button on a window that is full screen. The number at the end of that URL represents that user's number. Yours is 148 for instance.

DBGXP: Camtasia, i remember can do like a small beacon when the mouse is clicked but can't figure out now how to make it like that and used some gestures to point that. If you want me to do more I will be glad to contribute. Just uploaded one for uploading images:
