Been getting lousy and erratic response times on the site these past few weeks.  When working well it can take 5 secs or more to load a page.  This morning it's been WAYYYY worse than that, with pages taking a long time under "working" and then loading just a blank white page (had to refresh to get the proper page loaded).

Just as an example, I timed this new thread page from clicking the link to loading the form - it took 22 seconds!

Not sure if it's a server issue, Ad issue or a local (to me) issue.  Anyone else?

It was really slow here for me a few hours ago but it's better now. It's been really slow for me in the past but it has been better the last week or so. Generally it has been slow to load a "new posts" page.
Just trying to do my part...

Back on point, site has been a bit slow.  I thought it was me.  Connect often thru a Sprint Aircard.  Normally resonably quick, but of late, have had some slow with this site.  Thought it was me.  Perhaps it is all the emoticons SOME people are using in their posts?????

smartin,

I don't think anyone here will take offense to that.  Constructive criticism (albiet, laced with humor) only helps the cause.

Now hurry up and fix it JOE!  Just kidding.  Anything we all can do?  Would things like deleting PM's or something like that help?

Thanks, GJ. It may have at times been on this side of things. And clearing cookies and all manner of stuff doesn't seem to help. When I press the post button, it takes forever and a day to work. At least for me, that's been my experience. :idk:

It's Go-Daddy hosted site and to help, quit looking at the host for videos on the Go-Daddy girls.

Internet is fine at work, one of the few sites that haven't been blocked lately. At home I've been having issues connecting.

OK raising this again...  Was horrible this morning.  Suddenly (as I started to add to this post) it came back to normal speed again!

Seems to slow down at random - different times of day; days of week.  Can you raise a complaint to GoDaddy, Joe?

I have had this issue too.  40+ seconds for a page load is ridiculous.  I have even had times where the lag is so long that things time out when I am trying to post to a thread.  If I had dial up I would blame that but with DSL I shouldn't have that kind of lag.

Maybe they could just rename from Go Daddy to Slow Daddy at least it would be accurate.

Have either of you tried tracing the connection to see if it might be your ISP or some other server along the line? On a Mac you'd open a terminal and enter "traceroute www.kappaperformance.com" I know you use the command prompt for windows, but I forget what the command is...

I have experienced the problem at home, work, and while I was traveling throughout the country, so I have had several providers and yet I still have the issue.  Also if I happen to have multiple tabs open, one at KP and one to another site, the other site doesn't have any lag issues even though KP does.

So far I haven't found any trend in when it happens, it just does.
