It's pretty obvious if you got the correct tune or not.
1. Change the DIC to boost.  Floor it.  GMPP tune will display a number you never obtained with the stock tune
2. Eventually, if you got the stock tune again, the car will throw an engine code due to the new hardware

We wanted the coupe, but we had to drive about a 100 miles out of town to buy it.  I didn't think that was such a big deal because I figured I could go to my local Pontiac dealers if the car needed regular service.  I did contact one of my local Pontiac dealers first and was told; uuumm...yeah, I think...we did one of those once...but I think it was quite a while ago.  While honest, the reply didn't sound confident or like it was something they were eager to try again.  Either I'm being too sensitive or service folks aren't aware of that people want to hear confidence, not hesistation, when business is being solicited, hency my reason to contact the local big box Chevy dealer and being told one thing on the phone (we've installed many), and another when I showed up with it (we won't install it).  I called around some more and found a Chevy/Pontiac dealer in a small town about 35 miles away.  I basically told them my experience, they said bring it in we'll do it and quoted me a cheaper installation price.  I've been waiting for nice weather and DDM Works t-clamps to arrive before having it installed.

But when I read a poster remark in this thread about some dealers not installing them correctly coupled with some bad dealership experiences it grabbed my attention.

I think the biggest problem allot of dealers have with installing Mods has to do with people bringing there own stuff in to have it installed that they purchased off of the internet, with relation to first off not knowing if it is the correct part or a stolen part for that matter and secondly they worry about liability, what if you leave the dealer and blow the engine because of something wrong with the parts or just plain old abuse ? Most people are going to blame it on them and expect the dealer to pay for the repairs, all for maybe a $100.00-$200.00 repair order.

WAY back in 08 had our 08 upgraded, back then you could not find a dealer that 'Had done one before". They the dealer Chevy dealer had not even heard about, had no idea how to get it. I had to bring them the information. It took about a week for them, then to find the kit. Took it down to them as "the first maybe the only they ever will do in this small town". They had the Tech that worked on Vets do mine and it was as he said. "So simple a cave man could do it". about 30 minutes total that was with the tech2 down load. Think they charged like 90$ for labor. The tech said it was a very noticble HP/torque gain for the money, he though that "little can really move" he took it for the spin to check for codes. Never an issue since, well excepting the Higher preausure found the dreaded worms screw clamps wont hold the elbo to the TB. went down to the marin shop in town, they have a large selection of T bolt clamps since about every hose on todays HP boats use them, about 3 bucks each, never a leak again.
