Doesn't Solo offer a catless DP for under $300 or am I wrong is it $400.
There HF cat is around $375+$30 shipping so I imagine the catless DP is less.

IIRC Solo catless dp is 200$ and fits perfectly. I recommend it.

That's probably what I'm going to do is go catless and go with the Solo.

Graywolf,   you could do that and then you would need a tuner to disable the code, I believe it's P0240?

Why not just punch it out?  All you really need is something similar to a small breaker bar, or a large screwdriver, more than a foot long or so, and a hammer.  Way less work than cutting the cat open, then removing the internals, then rewelding.  Not that I know, but the work to gut a cat is 90% removing and reinstalling the downpipe, and 10% punching out the internals (without having to cut open the side).

The best part is, from the outside, it looks entirely stock.  Use HPTuners to disable your 0420 code, which is the catalyst system low efficiency DTC, and no dealership will ever know you had this done.  That is unless there may be some warranty issue and they might want to check your programming.  But otherwise, they'll be none the wiser.

A dealership will know you gutted the cat. The smell that comes out of the tailpipes is strong. And the sound is a dead giveaway.

Guys, Graywolf has no case for warranty, remember he rebuilt his engine and how much he spent. So please stop drifting with dealerships info.

Why I recommend Solo catless dp over a gutted dp? Look at the size of the stock dp and look at the form/shape/size of the Solo one. I'm a afraid that the gutted stock cat to loose efficiency and slowing the exhaust gass.

Never thought about that. This is spot on.

Factory cats are expensive. The SP downpipe IS about $200, fits perfectly, and has a 3" outlet instead of 2.5" OEM. If one buys the SP catless d/p, they can keep the OEM cat for resale or sell it to a junk dealer for $75-$100.
